After buying altogether too many cars, I have started one as a result of a group build.

I have made:
a turret mounted twin MG
rear bumper
nerf bars
wheel covers

Other mods:
new off-road wheels
a front ram from some Warmachine bits

I’m gonna have a lot of fun with. For what other reason would I ever type “I bought a Hot Wheels She-Hulk van on eBay?”

Extra Necromunda bits are the best!

Edit: ...and they’re upside down.

When I was in grad school in Louisville we lived by Churchill Downs and each year after the derby we'd see the Weinermobile drive past our house. The next day I would walk to classes and pick up belongings dropped by drunk fans. I like to think that when the poop hits the fan, the Weinermobile, driven by ambitious, attractive and outgoing college interns, will survive. That is all.

Last night my friend and I got this to the table. It was the first time for both of us. He fielded a car and a buggy, I had a performance car and a truck. As suggested in the book, for our first game we only had front mounted machine guns, nothing else.

It was a lot of fun, and moved along pretty smoothly after a couple of turns. He destroyed both of my cars, and I had both of his down to 1 hull point each, although he did most of that damage to himself by wiping out and twice actually colliding with his own vehicle.

I would suggest not just doing the front mounted machine guns; it would have been a lot more interesting with some varied weaponry.

Played another round with my last opponent. This time we got all the rules right, fielded 3 vehicles each, and customized them. It was a lot more dramatic, and while it looked like he was going to win after he wrecked one of my cars, I blasted one of his cars with rockets, wrecking it, and it blew up, wrecking another one of his vehicles. We called it, with me winning. This game is cool.

After adding some side armor, I realized the driver and gunner need a way to enter the vehicle.
Voila! Working hatch!

Also an oil/glue/smoke/caltrop dropper.

I made a play mat out of a canvas drop cloth, caulk and sand. The pieces are free vinyl floor samples from the hardware store. Turned out pretty good!

Blatz, I love the weathered look you got on the light blue/green buggy.

The biggest challenge I'm running into is finding a way to smoothly mount/connect weapons to vehicles. Anyone have any tips?

The surface of Hot Wheels tend to be sloped and angled much of the time, so it's difficult to find a connection point for a bolt gun or whatever. I've managed to avoid using greenstuff my entire life and didn't want to start now.

You could Dremel out the areas of weapons to help them mount flush. A good epoxy will fill in the space.

I suppose switching to epoxy would help. Haven't used any in years as I switched over to superglue. Will give that a shot, thanks.
