Looks great, is it the last of the v8 interceptors?

Ha ha, yeah...more like “tenth in line to the last of the interceptors”.

Pretty easy stuff. Mostly pieces from an AM Taurox, Plague Spitters from a Plagueburster Crawler, and toothpicks. Superglue, cheap black primer. Leadbelcher here and there, Balthasar Gold on a couple of details. Slapped some Typhus Corrosion/Ryza Rust on it. Pretty much done/

Windshield is a mess- I tried to scrape the primer off but it didn’t come loose.

Anyway, Hot Wheels are 80 cents at Kroger right now. Bought like 20.

Well I've only finished a single car (a few are mid-project), but I will have more motivation if I have a track/board to play on. So here is my WIP. It will be a ruined overpass with a gas station underneath to act as pits, top half cargo yard, bottom half junkyard, nestled between rock walls... also a few fun jumps/shortcuts for the adventurous drivers. It should look a lot better when the foam is all done (about 75% there) and then the gaps are spackled and less ugly.

I want all the Michigan Faties to come play when its all done!

I'm pretty sure we can get a Gaslands meetup happening monthly with that bad boy!

With my latest $20 haul from Facebook Marketplace, I can supply the Michigan FATties with cars for a while.

YMMV but I've found the best method is to simply keep the base color of the car and spray on a matte varnish. That will cut out the shine of the plastic. Then just dirty it up. If you really don't like the color of the car then you could just paint black/rust/dirt entirely over the base color.

If you spray with a black primer it does really mess up the windshields and some metallic parts you may want to leave chrome.

Here's my entry. I'll drive about the Gaslands serving up tasty hot dogs hoping that the wholesome pig brains, butt holes, nitrites, fat, and cholesterol will eventually cause cardiac arrest and fatal strokes in the other wasteland drivers.

My daughter picked the taco truck. The plan is to make a greenstuff taco with a 125mm cannon in the filling on top of it.

If you look closely, a lot of Hot Wheels have weapons already on them. I got the Rose car from The Last Jedi, and it has a rocket rack right on top. We got a couple that have headlights that you can glue a toothpick or bit of sprue in for MG barrels. There’s an El Camino that has a sort of engine in the bed that can easily be called a mortar.

Another cheap MG barrel source is a watch band repair kit.

2nd and 3rd car. This is really fun, and pretty easy. You ain’t gotta be neat.

The black one is a ‘67 Firebird. The original color was a great silver, but I thought it would look better painted black and chipped up a bit to let the silver show. I sprayed it way too thick though. Some armor bits and a turret from Stan Johansen. Craft mesh on the winddows. I may go back and put some barbed wire over the exposed engine.

The green one is a later Firebird with Rhino bolters chained to it (plain old jewelry chain) and a couple of Chaos pieces from another Rhino sprue. On that one I just sprayed it with Matt varnish and then hit it with a bunch of Agra Earthshade and Typhus Corrosion. Windshield is too frosted looking, but hey- it was about 20 minutes of work for a pretty cool looking game piece.

I had Da Bid over to my place last Thursday and we made Gaslands stuff. I tried to foist off some of my numerous vehicles, but he was able to resist.

It was fun to meet another forum member and one who is so close as well.

Nice guy, A+++, would have him over again. And I think he will be a Spartacus player for my work friend game group.

I've got a cadre of dogs so I wouldn't be staying over. I'd be glad to make the trek out to GR. Maybe we could get hotseat and superfly. Pete needs to come visit me anyway.

Fuck it, we should do a Trashfast: Midwest
