"Target Corp. has agreed to pay a $600,000 civil penalty for importing and selling a variety of toys with high levels of lead paint on the surface."
I hope that this doesn't have an impact on gaming, in particular miniature games.

Most of the ruckus is usually about the paint they put on Thomas The Tank-Engine and shit like that. Reading the article, it looks like they got dinged for Kool Toyz play sets, Anima Bamboo Collection games, and Happy Giddy gardening tools and Sunny Patch chairs.
Ral Partha this is not.

I guess our legislators believe that guns don't kill kids, lead paint on toys kills kids.
Lawn darts are also apparently a grave danger to the public. And I think super-soaker squirts guns got banned in Boston back around '91, because drive-by super-soakings were causing retaliatory drive-by shootings. Maybe it was Philly, not Boston.

Lead does kill kids. It also causes permanent brain damage. It's a major issue up here in old New England. There is even lead in the soil around the old houses. I had to be tested for lead levels in my blood regularly when I was PG on account of the area I live and work in.
