Need a Cthulhu Mini?

My buddy is an amazing sculptor, and he recently got hired to create a Cthulhu miniature. It's now been released, and it looks fantastic.

Here's the link to the page where you can buy it... the site sucks and for some ridiculous reason the owner decided to not use any of the Mythos terms, instead calling it the Octopus God. That's a horrible decision in my opinion, since Cthulhu is not trademarked.

And here's what it looks like:

It's about 2.5 inches tall I think, maybe 3 inches. He did not sculpt the cultists.

I'm not into miniatures, so $30 for one figure sounds high to me. But this one looks so damn cool.

Very nice, but way too expensive for one figurine.

If it was a GW mini that would be a steal of a price.

Unfortunately Cthulhu never figures into a situation where a mini would be necessary in a boardgame situation - he's too big.

This would be more of a collector show piece I'm assuming.

How wide is it? I doubt it's quite as wide as I'd like, but I wouldn't mind having a Cthulhu mini for my Escape From Atlantis variant . :)

I do not know the answer specifically, but I'd say he's about 2 inches wide. I should be getting one of my own shortly, and I can measure him then.

I found this image on a blog, looks like each square on the cutting board (or whatever that is) is 1 cm, which would mean the base is about 2 inches in diameter.

With the arms sticking out, this might work nicely. $30 though?? Hmmm...
