Pokémon Draft?

Pokémon Draft? was created by Erik Twice
So I have these old Pokémon cards around and I don't know what to do with them. They are from the Base set and a bit of Jungle, which by reading around in Smogon, were broken sets dominated by so-called "Haymaker" strategies that don't look very interesting to say the least.

So I wonder, could I draft that shit to keep it in check? That looks viable.

Any thoughts?

Just tonight at league we did a draft where you take your deck and take turns drawing 4 and choosing.

So:

1) Shuffle deck can be 60 or 100 cards
2)draw 4 and lay face up on table
3) first person chooses 1
4) second person chooses two
5) first person gets left over
6) rinse and repeat alternating turns

How does that work with the different types of energy in play? Is the deck unified or are you pulling from a big deck with all the types?

Well the way we played it today, with our constructed decks, was we each roll a d6, whoever has the higher roll is whose deck you use. So, you're actually building your own 30 card deck. Use three victory cards instead of 6. Still draw 7. Basically you want to make sure you draft energy. My deck was pretty good, but I had too much draw and decked out.

That sounds very interesting. Thanks for the thumbnail sketch.
