- Yeah, you have to bounce the Kragma Warcaller before the opponent declares attackers, absolutely.

- The fat pack should've made it very safe and unfuckwithable. Bad luck it is!

- I haven't been keeping track of Standard prices, but Erebos IS played in the most popular Standard deck going right now, which would inflate its price, so trading it for other stuff sounds like a good idea.

Sent this to my Magic playing co-worker today. We played once during lunch, but haven't since.

And then I thought, they should make Valentine's Day themed 2-deck packs for couples on Valentines. Boom. Wizards should totally be knocking down my door for a marketing type guy.

I'll make my valentine's day deck all direct damage so I can sleep by myself that night

Toss in some discard and land destruction and you'll earn a month on the couch with a bottle of jiffy lube to keep you company.

Replied by jeb on topic Deck Clinic: Izzet Elementals
My brother in law is dragging me back in. I was looking to build a Standard deck and cooked up this thing:
--LAND: 21--
4 Steam Vents
2 Izzet Guildgate
6 Mountain
7 Island
2 Mutavault

--SPELLS: 19--
4 Izzet Charm
2 Izzet Keyrune
4 Mizzium Mortars
2 Bident of Thassa
2 Cyclonic Rift
3 Dissolve
2 Magma Jet

--CREATURES: 20--
4 Young Pyromancer
4 Nivmagus Elemental
4 Master of Waves
2 Thassa, God of the Sea
3 Vaporkin
3 Judge's Familiar

--We just play proxies, so cost is no matter. What do you think? I am going for synergies based of Master of Waves ability:

Master of Waves {3}{U}
Creature -- Merfolk Wizard
2/1
Protection from red
Elemental creatures you control get +1/+1.
When Master of Waves enters the battlefield, put a number of 1/0 blue Elemental creature tokens onto the battlefield equal to your devotion to blue. (Each {U} in the mana costs of permanents you control counts toward your devotion to blue.)

It poops out some Elementals, which is nice, but my devotion is not going to be huge. I might have a bunch of Elementals though: Vaporkin and Nivmagus Elemental are Elementals, Young Pyromancer makes Elementals, and Mutavault and Izzet Keyrune can be Elementals at instant speed.

The basic gist is to buff the Elementals and get a Bident of Thassa down to start drawing cards. It's not dependent on either strategy, but if they are both online I figure I should be all set.

What's going to kill me? Where can I tune? Am I missing anything obvious? I was polling Magiccards.info for keywords, so I may have missed important stuff.
