I could have sworn that there was a Google Maps link where people could indicate their location but I can't find it.
Example (I think you have to sign into Google to edit):
Map Link
Anyone interested in participating in this? Or is there already a map link I just can't find?
EDIT: Steps to add a mark to the map:
1. Type in an address or city, in my example I typed in "Golden Valley MN"
2. Click the map marker that shows up and "Add to Map"
3. Click the new location in the left sidebar or the map and click the little pen to edit it.

I think one time Uba told us we have a *lot* of lurkers, which I find believable. It's a bit of an old boy's club at times and even though we've made efforts to change by spinning a lot more discussion into their own threads, it's difficult to take that out of here.
If you want to start a new one I'd have no problem for it---but definitely check to see Ken's (I think) sig file.

Only members who are logged in can get to the Profile Menu, that's why the link is there and not more public.

The Profile Menu has links to areas of the site that are only available to members. The Member Map is there intentionally so that people have to make the effort to register and then click a few times to add themselves or to find other people. The map may not be secure, but the extra effort involved to find and use it makes it less likely to be vandalized or used inappropriately.

Now I know I need to tighten up the security around my house.
