One day I'll have so much money that flying across an ocean to play games will be just another weekend escape
Yeah, but can't you basically *drive* to Essen?
I think I'd rather fly to Trashfest NE, quicker and probably a similar price but more fun (you actually get to play fun games with fun people).

After 6 or 7 PM though is adult time with whiskey and profanity.

Before 6pm it's just beer and profanity.
I played Cthulhu Wars on the Dreamlands map for the first time. I really like how the map changes up your strategy without adding a lot of new rules.
Friday afternoon, just before we were getting ready to eat and go over to the site, we squeezed in a coop game of bail water out of the bathroom. New toilet has been ordered and will be installed Thursday.
Big thanks to everyone who came. It was great to see old friends and make new ones. You can check out the photos of the games people played, and post your own on our ThereWillBeGames Facebook group page - https://www.facebook.com/groups/372019099960951/

It got ugly. Despite my early lead, I did not win.

Me, too! Such a surprisingly wonderful game. "Elegant" from a time before that term was ever used to describe a board game. Really shines when all six boats are in the race, so it's excellent for Cons. Unfortunately the box is so large it's difficult to take on the road.
