Does anyone here go to Pax Unplugged?

I'm going this year. I've never been to it and am skipping Gen Con and putting that money to the trip to Philadelphia.

I plan on meeting up with Wolff Designa and doing some work on Guards of Atlantis 2. Anyway, I'll probably be bored out of my mind for a lot of it, so if anyone here is going, we should meet up!

Myself and a few buddies went last year and had a pretty good time. Tickets for this year's con are on sale now or will be soon. As long as everyone's schedule stay clear, I think we'll go again.

I don't want anything to do with the Penny Arcade assholes.

iirc, they've been disconnected from it. But they may have some equity stake in it, in which case your point still stands.

I see this as just another industry event. I could not care less about any connection to Penny Arcade, nor do I plan to watch people play D&D on a live stream.

Bought my ticket, and it sure seems like I got a cheaper deal booking my room on my own than using their "deals" :/

Room blocks are just a way for cons to get a cut from the hotel.Thung is, for really big events like GenCon they are hard to avoid, or the non block rates are insanely expensive.

I will probably have a lot of free time to play games. My next game is *supposed* to get announced at the show, but I don't know what form this will actually take. Probably just some art in a booth.

I'll have a prototype that is very close to getting a contract if anyone wants to try it, and I'll also be working on Guards of Atlantis 2 at the show if people want to check that out.

I am super excited to see the Sniper Elite board game. I adore the video game series and hope that the board game can capture even a hint of its greatness.

I'd love the chance to play The Gothic Game.
