Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.
F:AT Math Trade --GLORY and REVELRY--
Whoops, didn't see the 216 in there. My apologies.jeb wrote:
You see that msg in your inbox, with your "216-inclusive" wants in it? With my reply above it? That you replied to with "WTF is it LOL"? That one? That's the one that indicates I got your PM.QPCloudy wrote: Jeb, since you haven't replied to my pm, can you please confirm that you have received my final want submission with the updated number including 216? Thank you.

I will be sending confirmatory messages throughout the day to check that everyone is OK with their submitted wants. Thanks all for participating!
Need wants from Ska_baron, Squigherder, Fallen, Da Bid Dabid, mrmarcus, and Chapel. Everyone is free to /revise/ WLs until the deadline. Just send them via TM to me.

If I make a want list like
(jeb) GAME1 : GAME2 ; BOOK1 ; VIDEO8
...I am saying I want GAME2 with strength "1", BOOK1 with strength "10", and VIDEO8 with strength "20." Contrast with someone else who has a want list with 19 items on it but no semicolons. Her 19th item is more attractive to the algorithm as a participant to help minimize loops than my third item is.
This may be the case! Do what ya like, but do it in an educated way.
On another topic, for the things you REALLY want, you should want them for every item. "Trading up" is totally encouraged, as it's not trading up--the loop makes sure everyone is happy. Just because someone is tossing $50 for $5 is not your problem--they just like different things than you do. Wanting as many things as possible "lubricates" the trades, expanding the space of possible loops. That said, there is no obligation to submit even ONE want list--If you offer awesome stuff and everything else is garbage juice, then forget it. You are under no obligations. Not even a tacit, passive aggressive one. Trading is up to you.
My lists tend to look like this (replacing numbers with descriptives):
(jeb) ShittyThing : Greatest Great Good Meh Crap
(jeb) ShittierThing : Greatest Great Good Meh Crap Crappier
(jeb) AwesomeThing : Greatest
So, I always want the Greatest thing. But my Awesome thing only wants that. My shitty stuff wants the greatest thing, and will go much deeper.

jeb wrote: Looks good Fallen. My only concern for you would be the overemphasis on semi-colons. The linear list means order matters--the first game you want with strength "1", the second is "2", and so forth. (the algorithm looks for MINIMAL weight loops, so a strength of "1" is as good as it gets.)

KK, done & done. Good luck all, hopefully we get those trade numbers up.

So you're saying math trades are like making out at the club?

I'm new to math trading, and My computer won't open the blog and some other links (old and shitty), and I don't want three copies of carcasonne
Pm-ed my results to Jeb, hope I did it right. two message worth!
I'll check in the morning before work if I need to fix it 6am central time so you can get things going.

So, along with Wants for your games, you build a special item like %ITEMSQ (anything starting with % and not having spaces is fine), that "wants" the duped items.
(Squigherder) 001 : 100 101 102 %ITEMSQ 109 110
(Squigherder) 002 : 100 101 102 %ITEMSQ 109 110 111 %JANKSQ 114
(Squigherder) %ITEMSQ : 103 104 105
(Squigherder) %JANKSQ : 113 115 112

Seriously though, how exciting.

Num trades = 64 of 220 items (29.1%)

Sum squares = 660
30% trading! That is awesome. If anyone is scared of shipping (ahem Squigherder) let me know. Those aggressive lists, which I love, really move the goods, but I don't want to bankrupt any newbs.
Squiggy give me a jangle. I will try to fix you up, you are looking at... 14 trades to 8 people right now. That.... could get steep. Might need to dial that down.
Let us also commence harassing Chapel.

Why is it that the ONE trade I'm keeping it cool on is the one that everyone else decides to step the fuck up with agressive lists! I've ended up sending out like 15 boxes but this time I only even offered like 7 things.
Good job dudes! Guess you all like Clint more than you like Jack Burton or Jenny Agutter!
