What BOARD GAMES are you TRADING?

I traded away the first 2 games in the Epic Spell Wars series, and received $10. I'm happy with this result.

In: Star Trek: Ascendancy

Now want Borg and other faction expansions.

I’m trying to trade fiasco for something my daughters might like.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shadows of the Past is out, Vengeance and its first gang expansion is in.

Kind of hurts as I was really hoping TMNT would be an option when I wanted just a one-shot Imperial Assault, but the janky miniature scale and tendency for players to just spam the same attacks was boring. Felt like it needed another month or two of development. Maybe that’s the expansions on Kickstarter right now, but I’m looking forward to Kill Bill the game for the present.

Oh man, both of those games are great. I lament your disappointment with TMNT (we love it round here), but I'm a big fan of Vengeance too. Hope it doesn't disappoint as reactions are all over the place with it.

I'd definitely recommend you only do 2 or 3 players on your first play.

I’d give the Borg a hard pass. I’ve gone through the ups and downs with them, and I finally decided to take mine out of the main box all together. There’s situations and setups that make them work (by that, I mean “make them work better”), but the just dictate and change the game by far too much. The core gameplay is just so damned good, and since it’s not the kind of game you can get played all the time, you don’t want to sully those times with a subpar experience thrown in simply because they’re cool on the show. The other two factions are terrific though, I just cannot advise against the Borg enough.

Android: Infiltration is out, and BattleCON: Fate of Indines is on its way in.

Infiltration is cute and classic Donald X. variety, but I'm afraid there's a disconnect between how to win and how you want to play. You want to push your luck to the highest floors and find all the best things, but I think you're best off sticking to the lowest floors and scraping what points you can there.

BattleCON is hopefully the beginning of a quixotic quest to find the best cardboard port of a fighting game, a genre I haven't actually played much of but have a terrible interest in. Yomi has been played; Sakura Arms, EXCEED, Way of the Fighter and Combo Fighter are on the list; and UFS if I'm feeling crazy.

I have an advance copy of the Street Fighter Exceed. That is the game you are looking for.

Not sure this is the thread for it but I care immensely about fighting-game-card-games. Is SF Exceed better than the Seventh Cross set? That got way too into the weeds of keywords and card effects for a system as simple and clean as Exceed's.

I don’t know, it depends. I am thinking about checking out the other two sets. They sent me the playmat too.

I’ve only played the very first Exceed set other than this, actually a sort of preproduction preview copy...so I can’t speak to how it compares to newer sets. It seems pretty streamlined,
No keywords at all.

Really cool design- it is like a refined, honed BattleCon. Which was also excellent, but this is sort of the Super Alpha Turbo Edition.

Not sure this is the exact right usage of this thread but I worked out a trade of my copy of Pandemic for a copy of Boss Monster with an expansion.

After 2 months on ebay, I finally managed to sell Massive Darkness, and for a pretty nice price (more than I paid for it), as well. I traded it for money.

I'm in the process of a trading complete Battlelore 2e and a couple small games for complete Arkham Horror 2e. I obviously don't need that much AH, but I couldn't find the exact couple of expansions I wanted to grab and people are scalping individual ones hard these days, and the opportunity presented itself so here we are. I did enjoy Battlelore quite a bit, but honestly if I'm reaching for a 2p skirmish game these days it would be something else. Plus I grabbed it all when FFG clearanced it out a couple years ago so I feel like I'm making out pretty well on the deal on the end.

Also I've never played AH.

If you like AH, you're going to really like it. Divisive at this point on these boards. I still think it's among the best adventure games even though it's obviously quite clunky.
