FS: TerraTiles Sets (modular miniatures game surface)

OK, so I have all of the TerraTiles sets and I really kind of don't need them. They are VERY cool. It is a system of big, cardboard hexes (yes, like Settlers hexes but way bigger) and you put them together to make a modular game mat on any surface. There are a couple of really neat things about them. They have trees, rocks, mountains, rivers, craters and so forth printed on them, so you actually can play without any 3D terrain if you so choose. One box is enough for a 4x6 table, but you since they are modular, you can cover any size or shape table with them. They are also double sided, so each set has a lot of options. There is also a terrain features set that has little stand-up trees, walls, and other scatter that you can add, or you can put your terrain pieces right on them. I really like them, but like I said, I kind of don't really need them with the multiple mats and terrain pieces I own.

You can use these for any game that needs terrain- RPGs, wargames, whatever.

There are four sets:

Misty Moorlands - This is your basic plains/trees/mountains/rivers sort of greenlands- probably the most versatile set really because it has the most options.

Paths, Coasts and Rivers- This is sort of an expansion to Misty Moorlands, it adds more roads, lots more water (you can even do lakes or islands), and more rivers. You wouldn't want this set alone unless you were doing something naval. Also includes some 3D stand up walls and trees.

Caverns, Tundra and Wasteland- Or, "The 40k set". The main feature here is a gray battlescape with some alien crystal/lifeform type features. On the other side of the tiles are two different sets- one a winter/snow setting and the other underground passages for a dungeon thing or you can use it as a Zone Mortalis in 40k.

Battle Pack- this adds stand-up walls, trees, and other features- it's pretty neat and a good way to add scatter to any or all of the above, there are pieces for each set.

The main sets sell for $50, I'm selling each for $25 plus shipping- which I am not sure of, because they are in an awkard-sized box and they are sort of heavy. I believe the company made them to ship in a large flat rate box, so we might can go that route. The Battle Pack, which is useless by itself, is only $25 shipped. If you want all of the above, we can go $70 plus shipping and the Battle Pack is free.

I have a review for it going up at The Review Corner, I gave it 4 stars. The only thing that I really had an issue with is that the Wasteland set is limited by having a different terrain type on the back sides. I think for the price, though, it is really hard to beat the value of these sets and unlike a big mat or a bunch of terrain pieces, they store easily and compactly, and are far more portable.

Shipping is extra- is that cool? I'll ship as cheaply as possible and just charge the actual amount. If that's good, PP me the $70 and I'll go ahead and ship - we'll sort it out from there. I won't ship if it is unreasonable without approval from you...stuff is usually pretty decent to your address.

Ha, what are the chances? I have the same exact items to sell, but haven't gotten around to it.

They look and play great, but the guy I game with has gone full hog on terrain, so we don't use them.

Geoff, if you want them, they are yours. They are in like new condition. You'll get the 3 sets plus the battle pack Michael mentions and an earlier set of extra trees/fences. Same price as Michael, 70 + shipping.

PM with info if interested.

For the record, shipping a full set from ATL to Columbia was about $38, but that was with a game too.

Everybody goes home a winner!
