Reviewing this here next week (wavering between 3-4 Stars)...just not a Gloomhaven killer for me. It’s all like new/complete but the Arcane Portal box has been dispensed with so it all fits in the main box. $80 shipped.
I started out really liking this one and still feel its a solid system, but the more I've played the less I've liked. The story/campaign sucks so its future, imo, is entirely dependent on fan-made material. So far there hasn't been any. Technically you can play the individual scenarios separate from the campaign but you still have to read from the shitty story books so really you're just jumping into the campaign at a different point. It sorely needed some dedicated skirmish scenarios included. Especially since the highlight of the game is the combat and character combos not the campaign system.
