Road Kill Rally on Tanga

Road Kill Rally is on Tanga and looking mighty appealing for $33 after shipping. But after its release and Avery's preview/review I haven't heard much about it here...Anyone played it and have thoughts or opinions?

Personally I have been doing a little back and forth on it because the theme and everything looks great, but the card play mechanics seem a little gamey and not really intuitive. I tend to play with more casual gamers and games that I have introduced that have some gamey mechanics usually don't go over well. Fast and intuitive is what I have had success with.

Is it worth it to pull the trigger at $33?

We played last week and had a good time. Granted I play with more gamers than non-gamers, but I can't see how the cardplay would be that difficult to learn. You discard cards when you take damage and when you fire a weapon. Otherwise, you can just play cards as needed. Fun and fast game. We played our game after 2 games of Leaping Lemmings....altogether, it was about 2.5 hours of gaming.

Well this sounds promising then. Leaping Lemmings is a game that I have had success with. How would you compare the difficulty between the two games?

Thanks for posting this. The game was on my "maybe" list. Since I had a few bucks in Tanga cash that were otherwise languishing in my account there, the total was under $30. I can take a flyer on just about anything for $30....

I think that Leaping Lemmings is a little more difficult than Road Kill Rally. There are some unique tile effects, but I didn't find it too hard to overcome.

It's pretty damn simple. The only thing that we missed at first was that when you hit another car the target player gives up cards to the shooter IIRC.

Man, sometimes it sucks not being in US. I'm so sad I think I'll have to stroll over to the doctor's office for some free drugs.
