Hey Tom, PM me your email address and I'll send you a scan of the rules. I'd love to teach you a few valuable lessons at stopping a MKIII. Lesson 1- meat sucks.

Meat clogs treads!

Done - cheers. Death & Taxis may be interested as he mentioned keeping an eye out for some PBEM games here.

Maybe try sending the rules of Caylus through first, just to loosen the server's bowels.

Sorry I didn't have time to distill them into a smaller PDF.

Everybody waiting on rules from me- we may need to replan. For some reason, the .zip I have won't squeeze through. I get the dreaded eternal spin-off every time. Can anyone else hook these folks up?

BTW- Dogmatix- did you get my reply on your message?

If email is a prob then try this free file transfer site - www.yousendit.com
I've used it a few times for sending scans of rulebooks (anyone need a colour scan of MB Shogun).

Sounds like me when I scanned my Queen's Gambit rulebook into a pdf - ended up (and still is) 48MB, but saves wrecking the original rulebook when someone needs to read it.

Apparently we're trying to stop an indestructible cybernetic tank with the good ol' human wave tactic - as used previously - with varying degress of success - by the British at The Somme, the USSR against Hitler, and Iran against Iraq.

Huh...didn't know about Yousendit. It's coming, boys!

It's just the Ogre rules for now...we'll get you trained up on those and then move up to GEV (courtesy Mike Chapel). They're not that much more complex, mostly just some more detailed terrain rules and a couple of new units.

The game is just fucking awesome.

I once played a variation of Ogre combining it with Barbarian, Kingdom and Empire and some wargame mechanics. It used a very large map provided from a WWII game, and players gradually built up from tribes of infantry and light tanks into empires fielding Ogres and artillery. It was a lot of fun, but wasn't perfect. Units were too inexpensive, so by the time we reached empires, there were hundreds of them! It was one of those gaming moments you'll forever remember for me though. I don't think I can forget 5 Mark III Ogres charging towards my capital! I took them all out, but lost most of my army in the process. The player built 7 the next turn and wiped me off the map! It was awesome!

I might have to try and scrounge up the guys rules some day. It was an awesome multi-player free-for-all that just oozed AMERITRASH.
