Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.

AS IT SHOULD BE...if there's a "tie" situation about how to make a decision I suggest we give the casting vote to the player with the most experienced (presumably highest-ranked) pilot. In this case, Bullwinkle.

I already factored that in. The A-6 can carry 8 WPs.Because of this distance to the target, we're at -2 WP

Oh, hey! Sweet. I've been looking at the file in a reduced size, so the 8 looked like a 6.I already factored that in. The A-6 can carry 8 WPs.

The site draw hasn't been kind considering we're up on a big target. In particular we're going to have to have someone drop a ton of bombs on that eastern approach, preferably fast pilots hitting from a distance, otherwise the sites there will make mincemeat out of anyone in the center. Unless my two weedy pilots just load up on rockets and try to suppress them constantly.
At least we can stay low and avoid those SA-2's.
Time to arm up. We'll need some AtA cover, some special weapons to use against the factories, some AGM and/or rockets to try and take out those deadly sites, and everyone else can just load up on Mk82/84 bombs and hope. I'll arm my pilots last, since they're not going to be worth wasting SO points on.

I guess our best bet is to use 5 of the 6 SO reserved for GBUs on Tanker Priority and carry an arse load of dumb bombs.
When flying at low altitude, the best Easy Money can do is load rockets and hope to knock out AAA sites from a distance before they can fire back.
Since Gringo is slow this isn't an option and all he can do is deliver bombs to the factory.

Ouch, ouch, ouch. Flying at high altitude would be suicide, but we can't use GBUs at low altitude.

We have to go in low eventually to try and make a mess of the factory, and when we do those sites on the east side are going to make a mess of us. I don't see we have much alternative but attempt to destroy or suppress them.

True, but we can't rely on them to do the job for us alone. So I was assuming we'd better stay low so we can use all the crappy bombs as well.

Here's what I'm going to suggest. We approach low from the east. Buick, Poco, and Barbarian take AtA duties. Showtime takes ground duty with 2 rockets and 2 napalm. Easy Money takes rockets for suppression. The others take Mk. 82s/84s.
1st turn: Showtime fires 2 rockets at the KS-19. EM suppresses the M1939.
2nd turn: Showtime napalms the M1939. Easy Money suppresses the center.
3rd turn: Showtime napalms one S-60. Easy Money suppresses what he can. Gringo and Driver dump their payload on the factory, and Midas does whatever he needs to.
4th turn: Strafe the factory if needed, or move out to the east.

And I don't think you should be using Napalm. Miss chance for a +1 pilot dropping two Mk.82s is 0.16 as opposed to 0.1 for the BLU-1. If you were a +2 AtG pilot I'd say go for it, because then you couldn't miss with Napalm.

Christ, what a mess. Agreed on my duties; guess I'll be flying CAP for this one. I'm going to be trapped at work today until late [meaning I'm nowhere near my PL stuff] but really want to get airborne, so Bullwinkle, can you serve as Buick & Poco's ground crew and suggest the best loadout for my pair?

I didn't notice that. That's amazing. Good point, you should fire your rockets, too. Which might change my loadout to 2 more rockets to hit the S-60s on turn 2.Easy Money is fast, so I should be using my rockets for destruction instead of suppression. With +2 AtG I'm even better at it than Showtime.
