These are terrible pairings IMHO, Pete. This is the first trashdome that has me shaking my head. Quarriors should've been paired against KoT, not Epic Duels. ED should've been paired against something akin to it, like perhaps Heroscape or Thunder Road.

But, it is what it is.

pairings are probably in the traditional "ranking" format

Love it or hate it I use a similar system to how the BCS ranks College Football teams or Basketball teams for the NCAA tournment or basically I use the giant super computer better know as TOS or BGG.

Yes, I could have used TNT ranking or the Barnesian system or my own KingPut ranking but this was easier and I felt less bias. Besides, the better game will end up coming out on top in trashdome's head to head matchups. Here's how it works. I started with the top of the BGG rankings #1 is Twilight Stuggle, #2 Agricola, #3 Through the Ages(none are not exactly a Trash Jr. games). Eventually, I moved down to #26 Summoner Wars: Master Set. I think to myself, my daughter and her friends play Summoners Wars, I would have dug Summoners Wars as a kid, the game has dice so Summoners Wars received the #1 seat for Trash Jr. games. Than I worked my way through all 20 or so rankings.

By the end of this we might have Quarriors paired against King of Tokyo or Epic Duels vs. Queens Gambit but we'll have to see how the early round voting goes. Who would have thought Dune would have ended up matched up against the unranked Cosmic Encounter in the Ameritrash Finals.
