Trashdome: Weed vs. Beer

For gaming is it better to not be able to think properly or to not remember what you were thinking about? I'd say the former as the latter can be worse than analysis paralysis as the smoker stares at he board forgetting its actually their turn. Better to just make a stupid move quickly.

Amateur smokers forget what's going on in the game... never play games with someone who is high and hasn't done it much before... also it's ok if people get high, but never let them get stoned.

I had a buddy come over with beer, drink too much, go to the can... and never come back.

Upon investigation we found him passed out in the spare bedroom upstairs. LIGHTWEIGHT!!

I've found that weed makes people more focused. A Halo player is better when he's high than when he's not. My buddy Mickey is a 2-joint-a-day kind of guy and he's WAAAY better playing pool when he's lit up.

My wife gets high and cleans the house, and I mean spotless. When she's not high, that shit's not gonna happen, and she's bitching the whole time if it does.

I think a lot of people might believe getting high makes you stupid or whatever, but the smartest engineer I ever met came to work blazed like a mofo every day, he was a top engineer for the now-defunct Solectron, building processes to assemble electronics. Brilliant guy. I can't tell you how he was straight, because I never actually saw him straight.

While it's been a while since I've partook, I would still always choose the kine over the barley. If I had the choice. Maybe someday when it's finally legal round here.

These days I can't handle weed more than a very small drag. Any more than that and I lose myself completely in the surreal and absurd, and forget how to speak. Plus beer's yummy.

They call em beer bellies for a reason. vote: weed, if only a couple tokes a year. can live without either, tho.

You guys know that you can eat weed too, right? The trick is to add it to lightly simmering butter for your favorite baked good. Brownies are standard, but baklava is a nice alternative. Or for the health conscious, use olive oil and make granola cookies.

I'd choose beer, but I do like weed. In particular, beer loosens me up and lowers my inhibitions, while weed makes me more introspective.

My personality needs to be more introspective, especially around other people, like I need a bullet in the head.

Weed for sure. Preferably both. I went to a small hippy quaker college where we smoked/ate/vaporized that shit all day long and the preference has always sort of stuck. Asked me when i was 21 though and I'd have probably said beer. I drink beer more often now because I can just go to the store and pick it up though. When playing games most people are on one the other or both.

I don't like mixing the two, but I love them both.

One or two beers is great, if we're talking about ales. After those if I'm drinking I'm a total fucking wino, so for me the tougher question would be wine vs weed if availability wouldn't be an issue. Weed is not that common, when someone has it usually wins, but if it was always around hard to say.
