Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)
Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.
This is part of a series of bloody matches to the death. Show support for your favorite game so it will do better in the fight. You can support it by writing why you think its the better game and more importantly by betting (i.e. voting for) it. Please make it clear for when I check the bets later. You have until Friday when I tally the bets and declare the winner. I will reserve my bet for any tie-breakers.
Although you should be familiar with both games, there is no rule that says you have to have played both of them. The only rule in Trashdome is this;
Two games enter! One game leaves!

There's no need to erase it. With 8Gb of memory, you'll never need more storage.

I want to see Fury Road, but post apocalyptic is going to be the new steampunk.

I like Mad Dog's list. What are y'all top 5 pieces of cyberpunk media? Post apoc media? These 5 can be anything.
I'm gonna go with...
Top 5 cyberpunk-ish things:
Escape From New York
Shadowrun (SNES)
John Carpenter tracks
2000AD comics
Blade Runner (toss up with Robocop)
Top 5 Post Apocalypse things (non-zombie):
Dark Future GW game
Road Warrior (do have a soft spot for Beyond Thunderdome though)
Blood of Heroes
Outlander (SNES - it's terrible I know, but I played a lot of it)
Hardware
I'm not sure which category the board game Minion Hunter would fall in...it's almost a perfect split of both.
Oh, Shellhead, I think the best zombie hobby game is probably that 'All Flesh Must Be Eaten' RPG. It was actually pretty fun. As were the anthology novels they put out with it.

Both brilliant games for different reasons, but I have more fun playing Thunder Road.
Also as a child of the 80's, the very real paranoia that was the zeitgeist of the period had a lot of post apocalyptic fiction in various forms of media. It was nearly horror genre, because we thought it was so close to being a real possiblity during that period. Mutagenics, mutants, Nuclear war and fallout, the world gone mad. Those hold a special place in my heart. Something that Cyberpunk, as much as I love it, has failed to be as prolific in, even if the quality in its small doses were excellent (Gibson, et al).
So Post Apocalypse.

In Cyberpunk, Tech costs big $$$ and the rich corporations and elites have it. In Cyberpunk, you either work for "Da Man" and are part of the Corporate Feudal system, or, you're a Hacker who's fighting "Da Man" and stealing his crap for your own enrichment/survival with a few Robin Hoods thrown into the mix.

Well, for me the big difference is in post apocalypse I'd be dead. I've seen those movies, they don't make people like me in them because we're all dead.
In Cyberpunk I'd be a drone working for the man right? Well, I don't see how that's any different than now.

After all, it doesn't look like we're heading for Blade Runner, but Terminator.

(Though there's still the possibility of the planet getting torched, so Mad Max is still in the running...)
