Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)

Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.

× WELCOME TO TRASHDOME!

This is part of a series of bloody matches to the death. Show support for your favorite game so it will do better in the fight. You can support it by writing why you think its the better game and more importantly by betting (i.e. voting for) it. Please make it clear for when I check the bets later. You have until Friday when I tally the bets and declare the winner. I will reserve my bet for any tie-breakers.

Although you should be familiar with both games, there is no rule that says you have to have played both of them. The only rule in Trashdome is this;

Two games enter! One game leaves!

Trashdome: Conflict of Heroes vs. Heroes of Normandie

Conflict of Heroes has been referred to as too fiddly or unrealistic because of some of the gaminess associated with Action Points or whatever they are called.

Heroes of Normandie, despite being a product of France, has been lauded by El Barnes and others, despite (or because of) its cinematic feel.

Which one is the better game? Which is the better wargame? If you could buy only one, which game would survive the cut?

I've only played HoN, and I enjoy it pretty well. Visually, it's far superior to the other game. I have Shadows Over Normandie, and it's decent, although as of late it has been quite the shelf toad.

Winner- HoN on IOS. It is a near perfect video game implementation that captures it's spirit and gameplay. It plays fast, handles all the wonk wonk rules for you, and the AI is good. Zero setup. Three full campaigns, custom skirmishes, and a kind "roguelike" mode with random missions and an economy where you have to buy units as you progress. It's $15 but is among the best of the best on IOS. And it plays great on the phone.
