Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)

Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.

× WELCOME TO TRASHDOME!

This is part of a series of bloody matches to the death. Show support for your favorite game so it will do better in the fight. You can support it by writing why you think its the better game and more importantly by betting (i.e. voting for) it. Please make it clear for when I check the bets later. You have until Friday when I tally the bets and declare the winner. I will reserve my bet for any tie-breakers.

Although you should be familiar with both games, there is no rule that says you have to have played both of them. The only rule in Trashdome is this;

Two games enter! One game leaves!

CinemaDome: Blues Brothers vs Ghostbusters

Oh man, I think Blues Brothers is funnier that's for sure, and it almost exists in a fantasy world as well. A lot of comedies do.

Ghostbusters, unfortunately, is so tied up in nostalgia that I can't judge it. I watched it too many times as a kid. I'm not sure what I'd think if I saw it for the first time today. Blues Brothers I only saw once, then again in my late 20's, and once more maybe seven or so years ago. I liked it every time and I didn't really want to like it or care to watch it each time.

I haven't read the whole thread but I assume that Blues Brothers gets it's ass kicked. Still, that's where I'm throwing my vote, I never trust nostalgia.

Vote: Blue Brothers

Strange Brew however I'll defend to my death.

Winner!

11 - 10

Amazingly this was far closer than I would have guessed.

Must be that wacky Ray Parker Jr jam. More solid gold for the Ghostbuster fan.

(Even though I would have voted Blues Brothers, on our last trip to NYC, I made sure to take the kids to the Ghostbusters fire station, Hook & Ladder 8)

And that is without the Josh Look vote which would have made this a 12-10 landslide. Thank god Truth and Justice have carried the day.

WHITE SUPPRESSES VOTES IN EARLY POLL CLOSURE is the headline I'm going with. It seems to sit well with the zeitgeist.

Well, Trump won an election this year. Doesn't mean he was the better choice.

12.08.16 - You came into the polling location, disturbed the public with your saber rattling, then meandered away.

If you keep this agitation up, we may ask that you be escorted out.

Warning: Spoiler!
