Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)

Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.

× WELCOME TO TRASHDOME!

This is part of a series of bloody matches to the death. Show support for your favorite game so it will do better in the fight. You can support it by writing why you think its the better game and more importantly by betting (i.e. voting for) it. Please make it clear for when I check the bets later. You have until Friday when I tally the bets and declare the winner. I will reserve my bet for any tie-breakers.

Although you should be familiar with both games, there is no rule that says you have to have played both of them. The only rule in Trashdome is this;

Two games enter! One game leaves!

That was the film that pretty much inspired the Mohican for punks...Joe Strummer was the first that I know of to adopt that look.

I can't vote. I've never seen Drive and now I'm curious to see it. The fact you put them against each other is enough for me to give it a chance. I do love Taxi Driver though... it's probably my third favourite Scorsese flick.

I've never seen either.

I like Godzilla though. Maybe he can be in the next one.

Winner!

7 - 3

Not surprised by this one. It's another case where I recognize Taxi Driver for being a more important film, but I'd much rather watch Drive 8 times out of 10. And, yes, the score to Drive far surpasses Taxi Driver's and touched off a mini-underground scene.

I think I read in Jon Savage's 'England's Dreaming' about Joe Strummer getting the mohawk inspiration from Travis Bickle. Don't forget there are also the Bickle lines in the Clash's 'Red Angel Dragnet' off of Combat Rock.

What if they rescored Taxi Driver using Drives soundtrack ? Those songs seem to fit:

A real human being
And a real hero
Back against the wall and odds
With the strength of a will and a cause
Your pursuits are called outstanding
You're emotionally complex
