Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)

Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.

× WELCOME TO TRASHDOME!

This is part of a series of bloody matches to the death. Show support for your favorite game so it will do better in the fight. You can support it by writing why you think its the better game and more importantly by betting (i.e. voting for) it. Please make it clear for when I check the bets later. You have until Friday when I tally the bets and declare the winner. I will reserve my bet for any tie-breakers.

Although you should be familiar with both games, there is no rule that says you have to have played both of them. The only rule in Trashdome is this;

Two games enter! One game leaves!

Ghost stories is more euro-ey than Arkham but it is a coop with some AT elements (dices!)

How about PRINCESS RYAN (Bretsch)'S STAR MARINES?

Yea, we can do that as soon as we put up a Trashdome for "Candyland" vs "Wrasslin".

That should also be a pretty competitive vote. (LOL) : )

I hereby declare the title vacant. Therefore, HULK HOGAN will wrestle with a TIGHT PAIR OF PANTS, THIS TUESDAY IN TEXAS.

I think Arkham Horror will steam roll over anything. It seems to be the one game we all agree on.

In fact, I think the name of the site should be changed to Ameritrash Horror.

Looking for games to put into future Trashdomes. Here are some recommendation guidelines.

Must be AT-friendly. We've had some Euro's already, but there is a line I won't cross.

Can't be obscure or rare. Less people who've played means less participation.

Can't be something nobody likes. Don't nominate TOMB just to watch it fail.

I dunno man, TALISMAN is putting up a heck of a fight in this week's 'dome. But I do think it's going to take some doin' to unseat AH as the undisputed champ of F:AT.

Ken B. likes TOMB, let's put it up against something equally crappy and see what shakes down.

I think SETTLERS is due for a matchup, preferably against something hard to beat like COSMIC.

We haven't seen CIVILIZATION in there yet...or MARE NOSTRUM...

An interesting match for later in the year is going to be ARKHAM HORROR versus TALES OF THE ARABIAN NIGHTS.

RISK should turn up at some point.

MAGIC vs. NETRUNNER?

HEROSCAPE vs. HEROQUEST?

RACE FOR THE GALAXY versus onanism?

Ca$h 'n Gun$s (sort of party-game-ish)
RISK (regular or Star Wars trilogy)
Fireball Island (a kid's game, I know. maybe too obscure?)
DungeonQuest (OOP and probably obscure, though)
Warhammer 40k
Twilight Struggle
Settlers of Catan (with Cities and Knights, or not)
History of the World (maybe too obscure?)

What about a matchup between a couple of famous old-school AT games, like Stratego versus Risk?

FIREBALL ISLAND vs Classic DUNGEON

You could do a double feature, like with the TrashDOAM, so you could pitch less liked games against each other to see which one goes down?

ALHAMBRA vs HANGING GARDENS

LOS MAMPFOS vs AUSTRALIA

MICHAEL BARNES vs THURN & TAXIS

:P

Here's some I'd like to see:

RISK vs DIPLOMACY: Two foundational DOAM games go at it.

AGRICOLA vs DOMINION: The Barnes Eurolovin' special.

SETTLERS OF CATAN vs ADVANCED CIVILIZATION: The two great build and trade games.

HISTORY OF THE WORLD vs BRITANNIA: Two very similar games: which one does it better?
