WELCOME TO TRASHDOME!
This is part of a series of bloody matches to the death. Show support for your favorite game so it will do better in the fight. You can support it by writing why you think its the better game and more importantly by betting (i.e. voting for) it. Please make it clear for when I check the bets later. You have until Friday when I tally the bets and declare the winner. I will reserve my bet for any tie-breakers.
Although you should be familiar with both games, there is no rule that says you have to have played both of them. The only rule in Trashdome is this;
Two games enter! One game leaves!

This is WAY too early for MEQ. Look how many people have ordered it but yet to play it! I'm almost tempted to abstain, but I'll probably never get around to playing MEQ anyways.

Fair enough. My group has a really hard time with games that are pure story. Tales would fail miserably with us. We like story but based on the reviews we've read and the nature of the play style the game would not work for us at all.
MEQ sounds quite cool and the rules look good too. I may buy it but I will never get TotAN so...

Tales is cool, but already we've realized that it needs to be used in small doses, or brought out with some of my non-gamer family.
MEQ...sounds like alot of fun..so..

My vote is for MEQ for being different to the standard adventure game. TotAN sounds cool but I already have other games with a similar playstyle.

I have not played MEQ, but I vote for TotAN because:
A) The Tolkien theme doesn't especially excite me; maybe if it were done really well like in WotR. Apparently it is not.
I already play Magic Realm.

I agree with Jason about avoiding pairing classics with games that haven't had a chance to hit a game table because they are so new.

Both are really high on my to get list. Since I can only pick one I do prefer the more epic theme, but only by a little bit.

Haven't played either, though I hope to play TOTAN tomorrow. At this point I'll have to vote for MEQ, though. I'm sure I'll enjoy TOTAN quite a lot, but from what I've read, MEQ seems like more of what I really like.

Haven't played either but TotAN is on my "must get" list. MEQ is not quite there yet. Need to see how the opinion develops on MEQ over the next few months.
