Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)

Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.

× WELCOME TO TRASHDOME!

This is part of a series of bloody matches to the death. Show support for your favorite game so it will do better in the fight. You can support it by writing why you think its the better game and more importantly by betting (i.e. voting for) it. Please make it clear for when I check the bets later. You have until Friday when I tally the bets and declare the winner. I will reserve my bet for any tie-breakers.

Although you should be familiar with both games, there is no rule that says you have to have played both of them. The only rule in Trashdome is this;

Two games enter! One game leaves!

Trashdome - Age Of Conan VS Android

But playing dark cards in Android is not optional at all... The game forces you to play those cards so you can play light cards. In fact, many times, the real benefit is just that. I love that aspect because it removes some of the cut-throat aspect of the game as you will be at a very disadvantageous position if you can't play light cards on your character.

As I said before, I love that system because I find it's a twist on the typical random event card found in most adventure games, where events in the cards aren't related to what's happening on the board. Here, as those cards are played by players at specific points, they really add to the story in a way that makes sense, so the story happening to the characters makes more sense as a whole...

One play with the optimal number of players for AoC was a pretty dull experience. Too many mechanisms that feel like they're basically doing the same thing. I had and have no objection to the abstraction of Conan; I just find the game pretty dreary.

Vote: Android, by default. At least I would try Android; I wouldn't play AoC again willingly.

I still see Android as a mystery game not a deduction game. It apparently (haven't played it yet) uses the same mechanism as the first Mystery Rummy where players meld evidence cards and whichever suspect has the most evidence against them at the end is guilty.

I haven't played either, but just from what I've read about each I would try to play Android first.

VOTE: Android

At least it aspires to be something new.

I voted for Android I thought. Not that it makes much difference -- was that the biggest blowout in the history of Trashdome?

You didn't actually vote that I saw.

LNOE VS ATOE was 23-1 so that's still the biggest blowout I think.

I think you are forgetting the Last Night on Earth vs. A Touch of Evil blood-letting.

Okay I just checked my spreadsheet and the biggest difference was actually TI3 vs Descent at 32-8.

But the biggest win-lose ratio was the LNoE vs. AToE TD.
