Nexus Ops delivers great thrills out of a very simple system; Starcraft delivers boredom out of a convoluted hurly-burly.

I haven't tried Starcraft yet, because I'm just not sure my game group would like it enough to get it relatively often to the table. I'd really like to play it sometime though, and I enjoyed the video game plenty (never quite finished the expansion though). At that price tag though, I don't really need another huge box taking up space at home, and I don't really know anyone around here who has it.

I've enjoyed Nexus Ops plenty though, and I haven't played it enough yet for it to get old. It's easy to teach and easy to grasp. If you turtle you won't win. It's over quickly, so it's great for that quick fix. And it was pretty cheap (got mine for $25).

Seriously though I’ve not played StarCraft because I’d have to buy a copy and Nexus Ops supersedes it. Oh and I have a grand total of about 8 games; All AT, no euros or card shit. For cards I like poker; much easier to find players and almost as manly as watching football.

I love Nexus Ops but if someone put Nexus Ops and Starcraft down on the table and asked which game I wanted to play next there is no way I am saying Nexus Ops. Nexus Ops is a great game but only when people don't have the time or energy for a real game.
