This is part of a series of bloody matches to the death. Show support for your favorite game so it will do better in the fight. You can support it by writing why you think its the better game and more importantly by betting (i.e. voting for) it. Please make it clear for when I check the bets later. You have until Friday when I tally the bets and declare the winner. I will reserve my bet for any tie-breakers.
Although you should be familiar with both games, there is no rule that says you have to have played both of them. The only rule in Trashdome is this;

End your first post in this thread with the title of the game you're placing a bet on (i.e. voting for) so its clear to me when reading it later. Mr. Jack is my favorite abstract out there. It is themed, that's true, but it feels like an abstract to me... even though I like the how the theme is executed. I really enjoy that each side plays totally differently and I think that the expansion helps the game stay fresh a lot longer.
I never played nor was tempted to play mystery rummy
vote: Mr. Jack
Click at your own peril! When I was younger a buddy of mine and I were walking along Granville street in Vancouver and we looked in the window of a sex shop and saw a "toy" for gay men called Mr. Jack.. it's kind of sullied the name of the game for me...
I've never played the Mystery Rummy series, but I've been wanting to pick up the first one for some time now.
Mr. Jack is one of my favorite two-player games. Yeah it is abstract but the various player powers adds enough character to the game for me.
Plus the publisher has a really slick and easy to use interface for online games. If anyone is interested in a game let me know and we'll set something up.
