Bugs: Recent Topics Paging, Uploading Images & Preview (11 Dec 2020)

Recent Topics paging, uploading images and preview bugs require a patch which has not yet been released.

× WELCOME TO TRASHDOME!

This is part of a series of bloody matches to the death. Show support for your favorite game so it will do better in the fight. You can support it by writing why you think its the better game and more importantly by betting (i.e. voting for) it. Please make it clear for when I check the bets later. You have until Friday when I tally the bets and declare the winner. I will reserve my bet for any tie-breakers.

Although you should be familiar with both games, there is no rule that says you have to have played both of them. The only rule in Trashdome is this;

Two games enter! One game leaves!

Trashdome: Parker Brother vs. Milton Bradley

Fortress America, Shogun. My first AT games and both still in my collection. Parker Brothers is nowhere to be found in my game room.

Milton Bradley.

Vote: Parker Brothers

Reason?:
Survive!

I love both game companies when they were individual entities, and not Hasborg. I still remember the adage on the MB box: The Key to Fun (and Learning).

I still have a LOT of boardgames from when I was a kid still in my collection. That's what I asked for Christmas, every year, without fail.

Dark Tower (need the unit looked at, though).
Tank Battle
The American Dream Game (complete with the scary lookin' David Letterman kid on the cover).
All the King's Men
Scrabble (circa 1948 edition, with the real wood pieces).
Conspiracy (soon to be going to another Trasher).
Lost Gold (IIRC, I owe Dogmatix thanks for the replacement of some missing pieces for the game....Hmmm, I think I shall inflict it upon the BOY tonight... MOhaha...)
Stop Thief (Unlike DT, this mother STILL works after 30 years...)

YES!! How could I have missed that. This game was the start of my love for games. Also my first "block game ", if you will.

I still have the 70's edition with the old mustachioed general on the cover.

No heroquest, no mr skeletor today.

I thought for sure you'd pick Mattel.

Mattel? They had a pretty crap game division from memory.

Speaking of which, are those reviews forthcoming?

Reviews? I thought there was only 1?

The RPG and the Battle for Eternia (the one where you can use your action figures as pieces in the game).

Not to mention Dark World (Heroquest ripoff), and their expansion boardgames...

It's a sad day for F:AT when Mr Skeletors blatant attempt at bribery succeeds so well.
(And it gives KingPuts comment on ubas vote added meaning...)
