My Ogre PnP was created by Disgustipater
After the all the noise about the Ogre Kickstarter, and having never played the game, I purchased the Pocket Edition to see what all the fuss was about. I finally got around to playing it recently and seemed like a decent little game. However the Pocket Edition is very tiny and kind of a pain to play. I wasn't about to buy the Designer Edition, and I didn't even bother looking at older editions, so I decided to scale it up myself and just go full PnP.

Using the artwork from the rulebook, and some other images I found online, I made the unit tokens 1" square. I will mount them on foamboard so they are nice and thick as well as easy to pick up and move. I considered getting some wooden squares, but I didn't fell like painting all those pieces, or spending the money. Foamboard will work just fine.

I made the hex board in Illustrator and added in some crater and ridge textures I found. The background will be be a tan brown color, which isn't shown in the test print I did. The map will be about 18" x 30". A friend of mine has access to a banner printer, so he is going to print it out for me on some thick nylon-type material.

Here's the test print I did, as well as a size comparison. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I always liked that "future font" from the original game. I don't know what it's called. But it always added to the sci-fi feel.

MICR, but with added letters and punctuation.

Yeah, I considered it, but I like the extra legibility of a standard font.

Have you checked Kwanchai's version?

I hadn't heard of it before, and after a very quick search on BGG, it looks like SJG had it taken down years ago.
