What Minis Are You Painting?

Adventures in drybrushing! Looks great on the Icefall Yhetee and disappointing on the Gorger. May bathe the whole thing in blood.





Trying to have them done for Saturday. Feeling the itch to do some terrain and I can't decide whether it's a better use of my time to focus on finishing more models.

Ah, resin. The bottom hand is supposed to line up with the feet; after several unsuccessful minutes of trying to make it so, I gave up and altered the base instead.

Tidied up a few more platforms to make a big Sector Mechanicus map for the last leg of our current Warcry campaign. I feel like it would be a lot of work to make it look "overgrown", although it would be cool to take it in that direction. For now, I still have a ziploc full of assorted wires, antennae, and other details that need attention to complete the kits.



The main platform is only 3" high (instead of the standard 6" for this terrain) and I put down several ladders and walkways to facilitate use of the whole map. One of our players is running a Stormcast List with three or four Prosecutors - flying infantry with ranged attacks - and I'm trying to make sure that the map doesn't give her too much of an advantage over the ground-pounders. Given the layout, at least two out of anyone's three battle groups should be able to deploy on the platforms.

These were the "easy" ones. The next six have considerably more gubbinz...

The Gorger is more finished than unfinished, which is a good feeling. Des forgot to paint her gnoblars' weapons so I did them for her this week as well.



I spent most of my weekend consolidating stuff and getting things off-sprue to shrink my collection's footprint. Here are the empties:

I have a real soft spot for decades-old Warhammer Fantasy terrain, from an era when I was a kid and allowed not play it. I've been "rescuing" Old World sets on eBay with plans to make a custom 30x44" Warcry board in the classic GW style that's all bright-green flocking.
