What Minis Are You Painting?
I just did a big Reaper Hydra, several Steve Jackson dragon kits, and a boat load of Hydra Miniature spacemen & robots. (Which are super cool!)
Priming them soon.

(no, but seriously, the sale at mini market means you can pick tons of awesome minis for fractions of a dollar, and when i factor in the time saved buying paint and kit, following the tutorials, waiting for coats of paint to dry, trashing the house as Tourette Hulk and generally wishing nuclear armageddon on everyone posting ACTUAL good painted minis in this thread... it's like they're paying ME to take them off their hands.
I have to say, my copy of Forlorn Hope is starting to look pretty booyakasha, if I do say so myself

It took me forever to do these today. I also picked up a Jack I'm going to work on soon. You can see the step by step progression of these minis in my facebook Miniatures album HERE .

Literally all I did for the Reaper was prime it grey, then I used leather white on the face, and brown on the staff. Then I did a wash undilluted which gave the face a perfect bone grey look to it. Much easier than trying to paint black in the eyes and mouth and such.stormseeker75 wrote: Good stuff! I painted one of the Talisman toads and then proceeded to fuck up the face of my Reaper. I ordered a different one because it looks cooler so I'm excited for that to get here. I heard that Pine Sol can help remove paint from minis. Is this true?

I do the same thing, usually when sealing it though. Like I think there is no way that mist was enough to coat the whole thing so I do it two more times, then all my colors get dull. You can sort of tell on the guy standing up in the previous photo.stormseeker75 wrote: It was looking really awesome, I just couldn't leave well enough alone.

Dr. Mabuse wrote: Picked up 4 outta 5 minis for Cave Evil. Should be 1000x easier to paint than Space Hulk. I'm just doing a two colour job: black with white highlights.
Cool. I picked up four too. I'm having a helluva time putting the dark elf queen together. I think I need to call in assistance from my minis friend. I think he has a drill and pin method that I need.
I'm going to paint them two-tone: one colour to match the player squad cards, then inked black.
