I used to use superglue, but it was too thin. Then I switched to gel superglue. I still use it sometimes, but it doesn't seem to be strong enough. (!!) I now use JB Weld. It's a 2 part mix and was recommended by the people at the full-service hobby store (as in trains & model airplanes) that I frequent. I'm using poster putty to hold the parts in place while the glue dries.

I just did a big Reaper Hydra, several Steve Jackson dragon kits, and a boat load of Hydra Miniature spacemen & robots. (Which are super cool!)

Priming them soon.

Painting up my EARTH REBORN figs. After the long, somewhat frustrating job on Franck Einstien (which ended up coming out great), I seem to be blowing through the rest.

Finally got around to giving painting a go, surprisingly easy ;-)

(no, but seriously, the sale at mini market means you can pick tons of awesome minis for fractions of a dollar, and when i factor in the time saved buying paint and kit, following the tutorials, waiting for coats of paint to dry, trashing the house as Tourette Hulk and generally wishing nuclear armageddon on everyone posting ACTUAL good painted minis in this thread... it's like they're paying ME to take them off their hands.

I have to say, my copy of Forlorn Hope is starting to look pretty booyakasha, if I do say so myself

Still painting my Earth Reborn Figs I'm afraid, they are coming out alright. Just seems to take forever! There seems to be little time left as most of my sparetime gets used on actually playing games, playing videogames, parties etc. So it has been reeeeeeeeeeeeeeal slow.

I'm painting 40k Grey Knights. First time in over a year that I've painted anything and it's been around 5 years since I've painted 28mm. I'm definitely rusty, good thing I only went for 5 minis in this first batch. This is the part of the process where the minis won't look too good, before the basecoat is done. Above all else I am reminded what a shitty photographer I am.

Warmachine - Protectorate of Menoth - Deliverer Troopers

It took me forever to do these today. I also picked up a Jack I'm going to work on soon. You can see the step by step progression of these minis in my facebook Miniatures album HERE .

Good stuff! I painted one of the Talisman toads and then proceeded to fuck up the face of my Reaper. I ordered a different one because it looks cooler so I'm excited for that to get here. I heard that Pine Sol can help remove paint from minis. Is this true?

Bought the "Army Painter Warpaints Starter Set" that comes with brushes, ten paints, and black primer for my first ever attempt at painting. Painted the Speed Circuit cars I ordered from Shapeways. I wrote an article up in the DIY section of BGG about it. Speed Circuit cars are really small.

Literally all I did for the Reaper was prime it grey, then I used leather white on the face, and brown on the staff. Then I did a wash undilluted which gave the face a perfect bone grey look to it. Much easier than trying to paint black in the eyes and mouth and such.

I do the same thing, usually when sealing it though. Like I think there is no way that mist was enough to coat the whole thing so I do it two more times, then all my colors get dull. You can sort of tell on the guy standing up in the previous photo.

I'll get him fixed. Besides, if I don't I have an even more awesome figure on the way. Double the Reaper, double the fun!

Working on toads now. Will post when completed.

Picked up 4 outta 5 minis for Cave Evil. Should be 1000x easier to paint than Space Hulk. I'm just doing a two colour job: black with white highlights.

Cool. I picked up four too. I'm having a helluva time putting the dark elf queen together. I think I need to call in assistance from my minis friend. I think he has a drill and pin method that I need.

I'm going to paint them two-tone: one colour to match the player squad cards, then inked black.

Pine Sol is saving the day on my fugly Talisman minis. Almost time to start over. In the mean time I'm dominating frogs then it's back to fix the Reaper.
