Warped Tiles No More

Guys and Gals, I've noticed an increase of complaints about warped tiles (Space Hulk, Dungeonquest, Betrayal...) and I have the answer.

Desiccant packs...

...and indicators.
www.deltaadsorbents.com/humidity-indicator-cards.html

The desipacks are placed inside games to soak up the moisture, and the indicators will tell you if you're at risk.

I've got a some of the packs and indicators from my last job (I sold the indicators and a lot of equipment I sold comes with the desi-packs) and I've kept my older games protected this way.

Just wanted to share for those with this concern/issue.

I routinely save any of the silicon packs that come in electronics. GA has really high humidity. Branham's house is so moist that anything that enters the swamp instantly mildews.

Yes, but that's from all the willing women that come over to LARP Busen Memo with him.

Another solution is to not live in the dirty dirty south. You live in a swamp, you get the warppage. I've had games in the garage for over 10 years. Still flat as a board.

I do have a dehumidifier in the game room that kicks in at over 50%. Problem is, in Georgia, the packs of Do-Not-Eat Stuff don't really last that long.

Our big problem is that the room we play in is basically the back porch (but a nice and glassed in back porch with its own heat/ac. But how many people can say that their game room has a hottub? And a Tiki bar?

It's a good idea, especially if you live in a place with high humidity. We get high humidity outside in the winter in Portland, but condensation keeps the indoor humidity fairly low.

Wait, you say you have humidity problems? That doesn't sound like it's helping...

But it does lend credence to my initial comment...
