"Honey, why are always leaving the doors open in the kitchen?"

"Uh, no reason."

My first act upon receipt of this device will be to spray paint it flat black. My second act will be to mount a rail and laser sight.

I've always liked "The Lord of the Flies" and now....I shall be him.

True fact: "Lord of the Flies" translates as ba'al zvoov in Hebrew, from which we get Beelzebub.

Potentially True Fact: It was mispronounced. The actual Hebrew name is Zaphod Beezlebrox.

Huh, I bet this thing works on mosquitoes as well. Don't really have a fly problem here.

Hell, I'm in for 6. I've got at least 2 friends around here plus another in Ohio who know nothing about "web-hyping/crowd-funding" shit but would be all over this thing. Plus, my parents have 10 acres of land in WI and the deer flies (nasty little fuckers that bite) get thick in the summer. I can already see my old man parked on the deck with a bourbon in one hand and stub of a Chateau Fuente clenched between his teeth looking like Sgt. friggin' Rock. Oh yea, huge gift-giving potential here.

Also, Jeb, thanks for pointing me to a site that *isn't* Kickstarter. Intellectually, I knew that there were other sites out there doing this stuff, but I'd never actually looked into any of them. Nice to see an alternative...

SmallWorld 2 is back ... and with a much better approach.

I think DoW learned two lessons here: with KS, it's best to spell everything out like you're talking to an 8-year-old; and don't try to run what is essentially two KS campaigns on one page.

The news is also good for Android and Steam fans, as those are the targets of the revised campaign. And iOS gets the best news of all: if you own Small World for iPad, you can do nothing and still get SW2. Or, $8 gets you the digital exclusives.

It's worth checking out ... provided you can get past DoW's "professionalism" issues, of course.

Is this going to be $15 in the app store when it launches? Or is that only the "inflated-to-help-us-out" Kickstarter price?

I am in for two of these 10-year hoodies. Paying for quality here. I'll get some use out of it, and I know my daughter will steal it and take it off to college with her just as the warranty runs out.

I caved in and am backing Zombicide 2 (w/o Toxic Mall). Main reason (beside the insane amount of plastic zombies) is the fact that they'll ship from the UK for us Europeans, i.e. no Customs harassment.

Have thought about Sails of Glory, but 60$ shipping plus customs fees killed it for me. Will wait for the retail version.

I need to wait and see if my workplace is shutting down soon or getting rescued by new investors. If that happens, I will be backing this Kickstarter:

I backed Dungeon Roll. It looks like fun, and it's a good value at only $15.

I love dice games, so at this price point with this much stuff (up to 14 heroes and 17 custom injection-molded dice right now; they just hit $140K with 5 days left) it was an auto-buyback.

I just backed my first project. A quick-release joystick shaft for my arcade stick. Make it easier to store and transport.

I have two sticks, but I'll just keep it to one of these nifty things for the time being.
