Youtube link in there but it's kind of fascinating. Whole dungeon design of a zelda game is almost identical in path...

So is there some sort of character limit that keeps me from just linking the vid?

Reminds me of my trip to Yosemite. When "discovered" by whites c.1850, it was FAR more managed than it is today. The Ahwahneechee used fires to keep small trees and shrubs from making it hard to hunt and it was largely an open grassy valley. Today it's much more "wild" and has trees all over the place that weren't there for 1000s of years.

Yo, you guys should read 1491 if you're interested in that. It gave me a very different perspective on the environment, environmentalism, and restoration. While everything may be lost environmentally anyway due to climate change, it's not like we have any "primeval" or "primordial" target; with few exceptions everything was already managed carefully by some humans. We can be thoughtful about how to preserve and restore while still admitting that there was not anything like a purely natural environment in most places in the world for a long, long time.

I keep buying used copies of that book when it shows up at library sales.

I just watched this video about failed collectible card games, and I want to buy a bunch of Legend of the 5 Rings now.

I like Werewolf and Mafia as an experience, but, mostly as an observer. It isn't the greatest game in the world, but, I do like to watch the player interactions. They offer a peak inside the deeper psychologies of those playing--you get to peer behind the veil. Much of human communication is nonverbal so I wonder how a digital experience and VR will transfer this nonverbal communication.

Yep, that's a real thing, but, I'm not doing it. I train in Iron Palm with the assistance of a proprietary Dit Da Jow.

I regret to inform you that this is a real product and thus a whole new area of body shaming:
