Never watch that scene with the dolls from Barbarella and then shortly afterwards go on the "It's a Small World Ride" at Disneyland. My wife had a panic attack and then had to endure another 4 continents.

Btw did a scantily clad Jane Fonda casually refer to her universal translator as her “tongue box”?

This is the best commentary on the inanity of music videos ever.

John is playing what I believe is an ultra vintage National Triolian 12 string. It may be the only one I’m existence. Fucking amazing.

I know a lot of people find it soothing and relaxing to watch old Bob Ross videos. I get it, but it just doesn't do it for me. This guy has a similarly calming voice as he describes restoring old Hot Wheels cars. Each video is only 5-7 minutes long, and he makes everything look so easy. I love them.

Oh man...Twin Mill...

My son loved, loved Hot Wheels when he was around 3 and 4, as I guess most boys of that age do, and Twin Mill was one of his favorite. He had two green ones. I can still hear his little voice saying it...Twin Mill...

Damn...dusty in here today...

I've been listening to Evan Dando while I grade papers, then read that there was a tribute song by Ben Lee/Noise Addict about Dando so I looked it up:

Then I switchd from 14 year old Ben Lee to aging rocker Ben Lee, not realizing how much time had passed (24 years?). It was jarring.

And then finally a backyard party:
