Latest You Tube videos watched and enjoyed...

This is a show that exists. Anime hand puppet fights. I kinda want to find a place to watch episodes of this.

Decided to binge watch Alias because it's mad fun.

I always watch in subtitle mode as I find US accents sometimes difficult to follow.

This is where the subtitlers got bored.

I made the mistake of watching that video actually ON youtube, and now youtube thinks I am all about reaction videos.

I am not.

I got a link for it and I hadn't even seen it (or anything like it) yet. I think it's just been put into heavy rotation.

For some reason I remembered that this was a thing. That was a weird time.

So Scott Adkins has a YouTube channel. Up until about four months ago it was mostly a collection of kicking tutorials and links to his interviews on other channels, but then he decided to be Charlie Rose without the sexual assault and harassment. Adkins started a series of interviews with other action movie stars and directors called The Art of Action. It's pretty great, a mix of old legends and the current generation. The vibe is solid as Adkins has either worked with or long admired his guests, and they seem to respect him and open up easily. Check it out. Not the worst thing to have on while you're folding laundry.

I've been really digging this channel.

For those Heroscape fans out there, there's this neat channel which I recently appeared on to help cast an online Heroscape game.



I'm also bringing this up to point out that similar to VASSAL or Tabletop simulator, there's a way people have been playing HS online for years, but could be a neat way to play it now that it's harder to get people together (and harder to acquire the playing pieces themselves).

Obviously the game loses some of its excellent table presence. I have yet to play this way myself...

Huh. So this is a thing that YouTube decided to throw at me. Surprised there wasn't more of a fuss about it on TOS, maybe it's the drugs and booze references.



edit: I am amused by the irony of the first hotlinked video recommended by YouTube being a list of “games you should own”

There was talk about it at the time on the Gaslands and Dune forums, though mostly just about the covers being featured and not the content of the episode.

Edit - I guess if I actually watched the video I would see this is not the episode, but a special promo thing. My bad.
