No question, for me the attempt is very valuable, specially coming from one of the big figures in boardgaming. For me it's just that it doesn't quite come together. It's a common issue, specially on video. I used to be pretty bad at it myself so that's why I can't help but notice.

I am so out of touch that up until today I had no idea this was not only a thing, but such a big deal - two septuagenarians are one of the top drill artists performing today. It makes me happy when boundaries are broken and acceptance trumps expectation. Great piece of music too.

I assume that somebody posted the original squirrel maze video somewhere in this thread, but the sequel is even more amazing:

I’ve been enjoying the occasional dip into DyLighted - Catan and Wonderful Plays, channels dedicated to high level play of Catan and 7 Wonders, respectively. For two games generally considered gateways to heavier stuff, it’s fun to see people take them seriously and show how you can be better at them, especially Catan which I see dragged far too often on other sites as a luck fest.

I really love the Catan guy. He’s so enthusiastic and constantly asks the viewers to take a break to consider what the best play is.

I have recently gotten into Netrunner again via NISEI, there's a semi-active community locally that I've been trying to get in touch with so this video hit at a relevant time for me:

I think all of the criticism and praise are correct, Tom really has been a great addition to SUSD for me as his taste in games is very closely aligned to mine.

It's a really nice fit with the much different tastes of Quinns and especially Matt.
