Ha! Small world. Calumet City then moved to Orland Park when I was six myself.

C'mon all you North Americans, the tournament started yesterday (1 game down, only 47 to go) so check where you can watch it on TV or online and support your country - USA plays their first game tomorrow morning while Canada have their first in about 3 hours, check here for viewing options:
USA - www.watchrwc2015.com/
Can - www.tsn.ca/rugby

I now need to go and sort out the cushions on the sofa, I have a 9 hour session today with four matches on back to back.

I want to watch Ireland and New Zealand games but the wife got fucked up and needs some "snuggling" so I am going to be taking care of the kids all day while she sleeps that shit off. She's going to go see some football tomorrow so I'm doubly fucked.

As an aside, I've finally sworn off American Football because of an incident with the local hooligans doing fucked up shit ( like grabbing a down player by the ear holes and banging his head into the ground. The guy didn't get banned from Football forever for that shit. Fuck that sport.

I hope none of the Cannucks were watching yesterday, that was a drilling - on the flip side any Japanese FATies would be ecstatic (and I'm keeping out of eye contact today with my South African neighbour).
USA get to play a hard running & tackling, athletic Samoa today, but the Eagles have been playing well for the past year or two so this should be a good match.
And the All Blacks get to start first up with our only hard game in our pool against Argentina, our first choice team is going out and they should have had any complacency knocked out of them after watching the South Africa match .... but it's a World Cup every team raises their game against us.

Pete - highlights of all games on the RWC website www.rugbyworldcup.com/video plus sure Youtube with have lots of bits.

I watch WC Rugby when I can, I always watch American football, I watch Basketball when I can (especially College ball), and when hockey is on, I watch that.

Yeah, watched it last night. That puck hitting both posts and sliding out in the 3rd!

I'm actually more an NBA guy if you can believe it. There's a dark part of me I'm trying to suppress that is hoping Curry's injury will prevent him from playing against the Spurs.

Curry's an amazing player and by all accounts a good dude, but I'd rather Duncan go out with a title like the Admiral did...I know greedy as well, right...

Yeah, nuts. I guess that evens it up with Upshall's post in the first period.

Wasn't at the game, but I was standing the entire time from Brouwer's goal until the buzzer.

I get that. Also, Chris Paul broke his hand last night? Looks like we're in for bizarro playoffs.

Been following the Penguins. My in-laws split a pair of season tickets with some friends so my wife and I have gotten to go to a couple games this season, none of the playoff games yet, though. Pens steamrolled the rangers. Bring on the capitals!

Also been watching Premiere League and La Liga. Man, Leicester City this season, talk about a Cinderalla story. Arsenal, so so Arsenal-y ... sigh. The La Liga title race has gotten interesting though, I hope Atletico Madrid can tough it out and Barca and Real Madrid slip.
