I'm not posting what I got after that!! You apparently have genius daughters who are ridiculously talented artists. My girl gave me a temper tantrum after I told her that's enough Mario Kart on her new DS that Santa got her.

Keep feeding your girls art supplies. There's something there.

Ha ha, thanks. They got fancy blending markers, oil pencils, and a Wacom pro tablet for Christmas, along with a bunch of clothes. I hope they stick with the art no matter what they end up doing for a living.

Stuff the spousal unit got:

Codenames: Deep Undercover - we'll see how this works out.

Takenoko: Chibis - swear to god, she specifically asked for it.

Codenames card display board from Etsy - again, she was interested in that.

Stuff I got:

Parade - A family sort of game, where you're trying to minimize points every turn.

Murder of Crows - Spell 'MURDER', where each card helps you, hurts them, or both.

Grind - Boss decided on that instead of Blood Bowl*. I still love her.

Nuclear War - I played the hell out of this way back in the 80's, but I'm pretty sure that I haven't asked for it lately. I was pleasantly surprised.

Witch Hunt - She thought she was buying Salem for me. The good news was that she messed up, because I don't think Salem is worth owning, The bad news is that it's Werewolf on steroids, and I don't get 8+ Werewolf players that often.

Star Trek: Ascendency - I specifically asked for this. I'm tempted to open it up just to look at it.

That was a big haul for me. I usually bum a game off of her, but I don't get this many. I'm happy with it.

* I told her, "Blood Bowl or ST:A, but don't get both because that's too much to spend on games." I also think I might have scared her off of GW products, since she knows that there are more than two teams in Blood Bowl.

My wife bought me Silver Tower, though it won't arrive until later this week. She found this out at the end of the day on Friday, so she didn't have time to get me something else. Since my birthday is next Sunday it looks like Silver Tower will be an early birthday present then.

Also have some cash that I expect will be spent on a set of D&D core books, though Star Trek Ascendancy is mighty tempting as well.

I didn't give nor receive gaming stuff.

But as a gift to myself, i did the final touches in photoshop yesterday and I printed out all the final materials for Destroy all Monsters!
The cards look so good when printed on photo paper, that I doubt I will farm them out to a professional service like PrinterStudio.

Now I just need the clear round and hexagonal bases from litko to arrive. The wait is arduous.

I got a shitload of game stuff and books, people are never sure what to get me. I should really start asking for donations to charities like my wife does.

This is the first time in probably 25 years I have not gotten a videogame for Christmas, though.

Games
Ora et Labora: you guys know I'm sort of a Rosenberg sucker, the more aimless and non-game like the better---apparently in short supply, Zman printed some tiny number to keep the license
Star Trek Ascendency
Labyrinth expansion
Hunters expansion to Theseus
Strange remnants and signs of Carcosa Eldritch horror expansions
Armada ships---Assault Frigate #2, Correllian Corvette #3, Imperial Raider #2

Punishingly intricate.

That's basically both an amazingly kind gift and the sweetest possible way to say "I fucking hate your games, but I'll play them and take one for the team"

Good kids!

Oh, not a single game swag item for me. I got a neat tobacco pouch, a bad ass Copper Chef pan, and some clothes.

We're spending every dime on a remodel, so we opted to no-go Christmas presents for the most part. Despite my wife buying 300$ in bras, panties, and sweaters and having me wrap them.

I spent some cash gifts at the local store by shooting the works on some D&D stuff. Got a set of core books, a starter set, and a DM screen. Now I just need to find someone to play with.

I got new video card to replace my aging one a few weeks ago. Nothing screaming fast, but pretty good bang for the buck. That was the only gaming thing I got. My wife's family doesn't really understand the whole "game" thing, so they usually only buy games off my wishlist as a last resort. Basically, their thinking on presents is that they give stuff they'd like, not necessarily stuff you'd like. I get a lot of socks and clothes, because they like those, not so much on the games and movies, because why would you ever need more than a few of those? My wife's finally come around, but my gift budget was wrapped up in the video card. Which is fine, cuz I don't really get to play board games lately anyway.

The coupons are freaking sweet.
