Which MOVIE(s) are you anticipating?

I figured this is an ongoing thing when there are upcoming movies you’re looking forward to seeing. Anything in the next few weeks or months you guys are holding your breath for?

For me, I guess The Predator (guilty pleasure), I don't think I'll work up the courage to see The Nun (the trailers always play at night and scare me to death), Hunter Killer (I'm dying for a new sub movie but there's no way this will be good, can it?), Bohemian Rhapsody (best trailer I've seen this year), Glass, Dumbo, John Wick 3...

What about you?

White Boy Rick. I grew up in Detroit and everyone heard stories about Rick. It looks hilarious. There was something else that was in the trailers before BlacKKlansman, too. Don't remember what it was.

Captain Marvel
Avengers 4
John Wick 3
Glass
X-Men Dark Phoenix
Godzilla 2
Spider-Man: Far From Home

Only thing on my list that's not a sequel is Captain Marvel and its the 21st movie in a franchise. I'm sure there will be non-sequels that I'll see too. I just don't have anticipation for them yet.

Most excited about: Bohemian Rhapsody.

Others looking forward to:
First Man (I'm a sucker for non-fiction about the space program)
Halloween (Really curious what they'll do with it)
Suspiria (I'm not really into the genre, but interested)
Ralph Breaks the Internet (A better version of Ready Player One)
Creed II (Really liked the first one)
The Girl in the Spider's Web (Will probably be terrible, but I'm hopeful)

I'm not really anticipating any movies right now. I feel like the best tv shows easily surpass the best movies, because they have the breathing room to really do character development and pacing right. Movies need to get to the point in two hours or less, and that often involves action at the expense of the character development and story.

Bohemian Rhapsody looks awesome and god knows I love Queen....but I’m afraid it will be the usual rock doc which is just about as predictable as a sports movie.

I am looking forward to that Godzilla thing, the trailer is stunning.

As far as not liking mainstream stuff, that’s not true. I just don’t like crap.

I want to see Gojira and that’s about it. Nothing else really compelling.

Between Mad Max and Blade Runner this decade is pretty much beyond my expectations and now I’m coasting

Bohemian Rhapsody will probably be pretty good but it's going to be one of those films you only want to watch once. I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff, rock and the seventies.

It's funny, there's usually one or two movies I'm really excited about but I don't see anything on the horizon except Tarantino's current project. I was a little disappointed when I learned of the subject matter but I've flipped on that. But what I really wanted was for him to do a sci-fi movie before he retires but I don't think that will ever happen. Like they would ever let him touch Star Trek, ha! But that's exactly what it needs if you ask me. That would be the shit.

Captain Marvel. I really liked some of the work DeConnick did on the comic, which was my first exposure (that I remember) to the character

Really, that's about it, but I'll nod toward Suspiria, with a wary eye.

(First Reformed was really good, btw.)
