Charlie have you looked at Browncastle Crokinole boards? They aren’t that much more than Mayfair, especially if you can get a ding and dent one. It’s a family fun outfit and the quality looks quite a bit higher. They also ship free which puts the price price (without a useless bag) pretty close to parity, and Mayday gets $0 from you.

To get a non damaged board from them is around $260 minimum, plus discs.
My buddy has a Mayday board and the carrying case is actually very nice. I'm not sure how I would store it otherwise (leaving it in the shipping box sounds a hassle and I don't want to hang it on the wall of my unfinished basement).

I dunno, I feel like craftsmanship and quality is important with Crokinole…I’m willing to pay more fit that and get something not mass-manufactured to loose tolerances.
But…a $99 board is appealing, I get it.

I've played on a buddy's Mayday board and it's great, although I'm not an expert.
The issue is more that they're a shitty company who have shown poor moral standards, such as publishing a Tic Toc Woodsman knockoff after letting their original contract lapse so they could avoid paying the designer.

Had I known about the C&C plans, I may not have backed this second round of a game called Catapult Feud. I'm pretty impressed with the quality as is that colorful bag of gas Tommy V. I was pleased to see female representation in the minis.
I pledged the main game with the hydra. I'll report back in several months!

CMON cleared NINE MILLION DOLLARS with their Marvel Zombicide KS.
I don't know how to process this sum. I'm gobsmacked.
Never in my wildest imagination would I have guessed this project would be so popular.
I suspect I'll just pour a Manhattan this evening, and rewatch Return of the Living Dead. Maybe the fifth episode of Peacemaker.

Remember when people thought $100 FFG coffin boxes were expensive?
