What KICKSTARTER(S) are you BACKING and WHY?
So I'm an enormous stellaris fan, I like 4x, and I think the very custom civs part look somewhat interesting. So basically target audience... but I can't do it. The pledges are too much, I'm tapped out on KS since John Company 2nd edition is coming out at the end of the month... and if it isn't from a designer I have a lot of faith in or have some buzz from a number of people I trust re: reviews I can't commit this much.
I'll be very interested from people to see how it is when it actually comes out, though.

For myself, I'm kind of idly tempted by the Everdell complete set. Probably just because it exists? I've never been particularly tempted by the Everdell expansions before, but they do look fun. I think I'd be much better served by just buying one of them

Edit - Now he's changed it to "probably going to ask the group to chip in on it." Not sure I'm willing to do that.

This same guy in my game group is a serial backer of KS games. He went all in on Petersen’s Hyperspace game, then we played it several times on TTS and I have no interest in playing it ever again (my thoughts are posted around here somewhere, for what those are worth). I’m pretty positive it hasn’t been delivered.hotseatgames wrote: One of the members of my group-that-was had already kickstarted the Sandy Petersen space game. I don't know if that ever delivered.

The recent Mechanicute chibi figure KS is pretty awesome with Necrocats. It's really the only style of WH40K I want now. LOL

Is the extra content really worth all of that extra money?
I know this is the central challenge with the CMON KS model, but usually the base game retail price is much closer to the pledge cost which makes the decision more clear.

It turns out that I’m a total hypocrite because I just bought one of the big box packs for Terraforming Mars. Since I sold off about 90% of all my games we’ve been playing this a lot again and the place my mind is right now is that I’d rather buy deeply into the two or three games that we enjoy the most than buying into new things.
