What Marvel's are you Snapping?

Anyone playing Marvel Snap app?

I tried it and it seemed fun but it kept crashing on my phone, so I deleted it. Probably for the best

I'm playing; it's super fun! Kind of a BATTLE LINE or AIR LAND SEA vibe -- contest locations, may retreat to cut your losses. Nice little deck building with synergies to explore. The income model seems cosmetic only, or at least mostly.

Yeah I mentioned in the video game thread. I think it’s pretty great. Will it be great forever? I don’t know. But I like that it’s in that space of games that are simple enough to be board games but are way more convenient digital.

Elektra is probably my favorite card. Although Kazar and Odin are subsequently cool build-arounds.

Yea, I'm running an On Going Odin deck because they have the Hot location that doubles ongoing effects. My other deck is centered on kazar and blue marvel with a Carnage for eating Wolverine and Nova.

You’ve tricked me into it. I assumed it was some sort of Pokémon Go from the title, but it’s a perfectly fine little game.

Did you buy a season pass to get all these characters? I only have 26 cards in my collection so far and haven’t even seen a lot of what you’re talking about.

I have not spent a penny so far. You unlock new cards as you cosmetically upgrade others.

Same for me. Have not bought anything.

I think the only card that is exclusively behind a paywall is Miles Morales. The rest you can unlock through playing. Might take a little longer than paying, but I’m fine with that.

I think I have a better grip on the payment and collection systems now, but that Miles Morales is awfully tempting. I do love my Nightcrawler.

There are some astoundingly abysmal players around rank 20. Makes me think English is their second language or they are misclicking because I’ve seen games get absolutely thrown.

Super not a fan of the FAST UPGRADE option in the shop being something that you can spend that slows you down. You actually lose speed by buying an upgrade with credits since those very quickly become the limiting factor after two days of playing. Wish I didn't waste my credits on those. That's how the whales advance faster.

It's light and fun enough.

Yeah, they do a pretty good job of hiding the pay-to-play. All the upgrades are cosmetic only, but they also raise your "collection level" which is how you actually get new (and better) cards.

Still enjoying it for now; I like that the game is very quick but still allows for some thinky choices.

I could be wrong, but it looks like you unlock an ALT art Miles Morales if you go premium and get to level 50 on that event tracker thing, which I'm currently at 35.

Agree on people being bad early on. I'm at around 40 now and I've settled into actually losing some games now, to the point that I bounce between 39-42.

Agree on some of the currencies being confusing at first. The core gameplay is neat, and I'm also starting to run into some wild cards at the higher levels. Saw Killmonger for the first time. Costs 3, strength 3. KILLS ALL 1-costers, including your own, but you could easily deck build around that.

I've been wondering if I am in fact playing against bots. I'm around rank 25 I think, and so far I've only lost 3 or 4 games and forfeited about the amount.

But it's very fun. Deck building will probably get more interesting as you unlock more cards, but I like the way locations means you actually have to think quite a bit about how you want to play your cards.
