Forget AI. What are you all working on? Drawing, writing, music, designing, etc? Art comes in many forms.

I'm diligently writing an epic poem that should be done in about 16-19 years.

(Apologies if the following doesn't make any sense)

Still in the planning phase but I'm hoping to make a 3D printed, wall-mounted glowing "sign" of our dogs' faces for my wife's birthday. Originally I was going to try to make vector images of their faces but decided that I wasn't up to/capable of doing a decent job and it likely wouldn't work functionally anyway, so I'm going the easy route and just making some lithophane inserts. It's not as "artful" as I would like, but a completed project is more valuable than an unrealized "better" idea.

Working on 4 poems or so and still figuring out how to revise/refine a couple of older ones based on workshop feedback (via the /r/OCPoetry discord). That Discord is... a mixed bag (to quote a mentor "There are well meaning folks there [...] but I also think there are folks who are more heat than light"), but I've found at least one or two people whose opinions I trust.

I'm up to line # 70 on my poem. Believe it or not ahead of schedule.

This is nowhere near as exciting or artful as poetry, but I've recently taken to designing playmats for my favourite board games. I came to the conclusion a while back that I'd rather have fewer games that I love to play and focus on making them nicer rather than buying more things. I get a real kick out of the design process as it makes me think about the practical aspect of play as well as the aesthetic, plus I then get something out of it that gets a lot of use and increases my enjoyment from playing those games.

I started last year, having been inspired by the awesome Terraforming Mars mats that were showcased on TWBG a while back as well as the neoprene mats included in TechnoBowl and Oath. My first project was a replacement for the fugly invader board in Spirit Island and I have since added mats for Eleven and Imperium. Thinking about maybe doing something for either Obsession or Ark Nova next.

Those look great. Did you print them onto diving suits?

Thank you! The first couple I did through specialist printers who cater for gaming mats but recently I found a much cheaper (and better quality) eBay vendor who prints custom ‘pc gaming’ mouse mats - 3mm stitched edge neoprene with a rubber backing, total price including shipping is between £10 and £25 depending on the size of the mat.

Edit: here’s a link here to the vendor that I used , they are about half the price of vendors like Deep Cut and YourPlaymat and the quality so far has been great.

I’m on Instagram, SuperflyPete, and I just put out 2 videos; one rarer, older guitar and one rare young guitar.

That’s my life now…that and cooking. The food and music stuff definitely helps with dates!
