I ordered Targi and just received it yesterday. I am eager to introduce it to people here at work. I am not a worker placement player by my nature, but this feels much more cutthroat. The random setup of goods and tribe cards that you are contesting keeps me coming back for more games. I have enjoyed it on Yucata.de and it is nice to have a physical copy as well.
Monster Crunch is fantastic. You gotta break people of just playing their cards one at as time in ascending order, but once you do that it's really a great light card game. That doesn't happen much if you play with gamers/card players, but it is the natural tendency I've seen when playing with family members/nongamers.
My copy of Carnival of Monsters arrived last night. AL and I played twice. Dang, I love this game.
Also got Flick 'em Up Dead of Winter (it was only like $15 at GameNerdz). It looks really cute, but dang, punching, stickering and assembling it took a long time. The Zombies were particularly hard to sticker, and they are a really crazy shape, so you have to get the sticker on there perfectly. The stickers really needed to be just a couple of hairs smaller to give you some wiggle room for less than a perfectly steady hand.
Nice price on feu: dow. I LOVE the zombie tower. I bought this when it came out but have had a hard time getting it to the table, as they say. I THINK i really like it but only three plays in couple of years isn't a good sign.
So, I had an hour to waste when visiting my daughter at college before her wind ensemble played. I found the only comic/ board game flgs in town. They had a copy of (new) Dune for $50. I passed because the MSRP is $39.99. Am I being unrealistic?
Placed an order for Battle Line: Medieval Edition from GMT. The original is one of the few games I regretted getting rid of but I never got around to picking it up again. I like the new artwork and time-period better so glad I waited.
Went into one of the more upscale Manila bookstores today, and what do I see but the new Eberron setting book for D&D. I'm wrapping up our current adventure, then I'm taking off about six months from DMing. After that, Eberron looks like a cool place to set the next campaign.
Went out to consign some stuff at a FLGS and donated some games to thier library after reading a low key plea on Facebook. Ended up picking up hellapagos.
