I bought Prophecy and both expansions for $25. I like Talisman, I like Vlaada Chvatil's games generally, I'm curious to see what his Talisman looks like.

As someone with a weakness for sandbox games, and given my affinity for titles like M&M, MoV, SW: Outer Rim, and the like, I finally took decisive action on my "overwatch" status given the sudden opportunity to nab Western Legends + all relevant original KS content online.

I sure hope it holds up to the praise it's been getting in these parts... the hype chuckwagon train is long and strong on this one.

For anyone interested, I got a good price on the base game, and plenty of copies of Fistful of Extras (apparently in short supply these days). I ended up paying around $100 Canadian ($70-75 USD) for the game + 2 KS expansions, which seems cheap.

store.401games.ca/products/westernlegends

Even with shipping to the US, that's around $100 USD for the whole pot o' beans. (Disclaimer: despite being a Yank working in Vancouver, I've never shipped in to the US, and can't speak to any import fees should they exist)

Looking forward to getting some plays in

I took the plunge into the Warfighter pool and picked up the Warfighter WW2 core set. I am anticipating many dollars to be spent on this going forward.

As the What KSers are you Buying thread seems to have been long forgotten I'll post in here - Charlie, or any other keen KS reviewer/spender, tell me good and bad shit about Dawn of Madness (please)

I only briefly looked at Dawn of Madness and it looked underdeveloped with much work to be done.

I backed their previous game Deep Madness and it was solid but nothing special. Probably a little too fiddly for it's own good.

I unexpectedly (and half drunk) won 125.00 at a local casino. I promptly spent the money on Cthulhu: Death May Die. I think it's the first time I didn't pop a minor sweat when hitting the "Confirm Purchase" button.

Cthulhu Death May Die is excellent. You won't regret it.

It was a quarter slot. I had no real clue what I was doing, my friends told me what buttons to push after accidentally betting 2.50 initially.

Got rid of Runebound 2nd about a year ago and kind of regret it but not nearly enough to try and get it all back. Ordered Runebound 3rd for $28 shipped from Amazon. Hopefully I get good value out of the core game as the few expansions they made are hard to find or expensive.

3rd is pretty highly regarded around here, I believe...

Yeah, 3rd is great and you’ll get good value out of the base game for $28 for sure. However...that first expansion is what really makes it good. For some stupid reason the better aspects of the combat system were put into an expansion. But don’t sweat it, you’ll have a good time with what’s there.
