I picked up Dead Of Winter used for $20 (well, I used my store credit on it). Never played it with the family before, but think it might go over well.

It's not a board game, but I took advantage of the waning hours of the DM's Guild sale and bought PDFs of Keep On The Borderlands and Castle Amber. Now I have something else to run next time I play Old School Essentials, and something to read while I'm in the house all day.

I'm buying back a copy of first edition Robinson Crusoe from my neighbor buddy. I'll make my son teach it to us. I've got a printout of the advanced rules and echoes of Gary Sax's ringing endorsements to help me through the pain of repeatedly losing.

As yes, Castle Amber, which is not meant for newbie DMs; as unlike other modules, it basically throws you to the wolves.

I just bought a copy of Android for $10 in a city that is 122 miles from my own. Fortunately my mom's best friend's son lives there and will be coming down to visit in a week or two, so I think I may have scored a copy of Android for ten bucks. What sealed the deal was "plays best with three" and speaking of replicants I've got two people at home who my wife and I had the foresight to create 15 and 20 years ago.

We're running the long con.

I just bought a copy of Posthuman for $44 delivered from a guy in Minnesota. So the natural question was whether it's been exposed to Covid-19. Haven't gotten an answer on that yet. I never would have dreamed of asking about the flu in the past, so I guess things have changed. My parents had habits that went back to the Depression, my kids' will come from 2020.

He indicated he hasn't played it in a long time but it would be nice to know if I need to quarantine the outer box or not.

Keep it on the side for a few days to a week. Explain to the seller you won’t open it right away out of caution.

The seller got back to me and indicated he and his wife have been sheltered in place for nearly six weeks. I'll let the outer packaging cool off for a few days anyway.

Apparently this is the whole megillah, stretch goals, promos, expansions, Plano, extra dice. Should arrive in time for my birthday on Sunday but it will sit on my front stoop!

I have been enjoying reading Cfarrell's comments on Posthuman on Instagram. Your remarks on Android on TOS helped clinch the Android transaction. Don't worry though--I'll be sure to blame you personally if I don't like it for some reason, so there's that.

I just bought The Quest for El Dorado for $20 to play with the family. My family gaming go-to guy gave it a ten, and Cfarrell gave it a ten. That's a wide range of players. I am hoping we'll get in multiple games. I also bought Unlock!Unlock! Schezerade for my wife, who likes escape rooms and is a scholar of the Middle East. She will get it for Mother's Day, a holiday she hates.

el dorado is a great game. you should check out the curses expansion, it adds some fun stuff, and keeps the game from getting quite so samey. i havent had a chance to play the expandalone/sequel that came out, but im looking forward to it.

i bought Blue Moon City the other day when Asmodee had it for $10 with free shipping. aside from that im not really buying anything these days.

I ordered Burgle Brothers. I have a crush on Fowers Games.

Like Burgle Bros. haven't played my copy enough. Picked up Oceans and 7 Wonders Duel. Duel is good, if unexciting, first game of Oceans last night which I really enjoyed. The card quality is very poor on Oceans though, which is disappointing for a game primarily consisting of cards.

Just caved on an old WW1 wargame, an iteration of the infamous Verdun battle. I've compiled tons of WW1 games for some future binge, near-future I hope.

Also picked up a couple expansions for Sagrada bcz I believe the wife's priest has a dinner date at our house soon. Let's see can I brainwash him into boardgames.
