It's just a stack of Age of Steam Deluxe games in the locked case at the thrift store. The components and boxes are really nice. I think overall there are something like 20 maps in this bundle. The whole thing is heavy.
So the story was that some guy pulled up in a pickup truck, the bed filled with boardgames, and told the thrift store that his son got married and doesn't have time to play these. There are a lot of unopened Kickstarter games, stuff like "Armageddon War". They had Cthulhu Wars, and a bunch of stuff. There's still a copy of
8.4
A Glorious Chance: The Naval Struggle for Lake Ontario in the War of 1812 for $40 bucks, and as much as I like the idea of a solo Age of Sail game set in the thrilling context of war with Canada, the reviews are tepid, even though it has an 8.4. I think I'd have more fun with Nemo's War for $30 on Ebay.

I picked up Seafall NIS at my FLGS for 15 bucks. Anyone actually play this one? I want to see if it's as bad as they say.

..........
Buys in the last six months:
6 Siege: The Boardgame - when this showed up on eBay for a good price it was a no-brainer to bis on and when no one really bid against me it was a decent score, even better when I opened it to find it had an map expansion inside as well.
Star Wars: Outer Rim + expansion - great condition used copy, for when I want a shorter or even solo option to Firefly.
Middara: Unintentional Malum Act 1 - again when a used copy showed up for a very good price I jumped on it. Yes, it gets added to the pile of narrative dungeon crawlers but it will get played !
Monster Hunter World: Wildspire Wastes - couldn't afford Primal so this at a knockdown price will fill that niche on the shelf.
Lord of the Rings: Fate of the Fellowship - watched some playthrus and decided it was good enough to join my LotR stable.
Beyond the Rift: A Perdition's Mouth Card Game - just happened to see this somewhere on BGG and it sounded fun, watched some playthrus and then an online shop had it at a fire sale price so decided it was an omen. And it is a very clever and fun card dungeon crawler !
The Mandalorian: Adventures - this just sounded a well done light game so picked up a new copy since it was cheap.
And a couple of games picked up that I got rid of years ago but decided I wanted new plays of them:
Nexus Ops - the FFG reprint, doesn't look as good as the original AH copy I had but it's for playing not staring at.
Teenage Mutant Ninjas: Shadows of the Past - I really enjoyed the dice sharing mechanics even though the missions were a bit unbalanced and there is no co-op mode. IDW followed up with two second editions of it and a Batman game both more refined and having a very good co-op mode but those are nearly impossible, or very expensive, to find in the UK and with IDW going out of business a few years back they won't be getting reprinted so likely won't see them.
Sales in similar period (yes, I do get rid of stuff
)
Cosmic Encounter + 2 expansions - played this enough, and not as fun with lower player counts that I have these days.
Cthulhu Death May Die Seasons 1 & 2 - Played it a few times but just wasn't getting in front of other games I preferred.
Fallout + both expansions - Played all the missions and with the bundle being OOP I just couldn't ignore the big cash I could get for it.
Star Trek Frontiers
This War of Mine Kickstarter - I've backed the new edition.
Clash of Cultures + expansion
Age of Steam + 3 map expansions
