The wife and I have tickets to see Prince in Saskatoon on December 11th (my first time seeing him, the wife saw his show about ten years ago). Pretty excited for that. He's cancelled Saskatoon before, though, so hopefully ticket sales are good this time around and he actually shows up.

Saw Bane a couple weeks ago. Gonna see em again a couple times in another couple weeks. Best hardcore band, especially live. There is really nothing like seeing a band and only being able to hear the crowd singing along because everyone is going so nuts. Only other times I've experienced it is seeing Morrissey.

We're going to see the Foo Fighters tomorrow night, along with Social D opening up! Can't wait. The last time I saw FF was in 1998. Man, I'm old.

Went to see Seasick Steve play his Delta Blues. Awesomeness all round since Steve was not just joined by his drummer (very lively) but also by John Paul Jones playing various instruments to make this a truly memorable night. Steve has a gift of performing. And his joy of pkaying is great it is easily transmitted.

If you get the chance, go check him out

Wow, this is a thread that gets _no_ response even when you ask a direct question. What the fuck is the point of it?!

I can chime in that I think Ramstein is terrible, but I'm guessing that's not what you're looking for?

Settle down, Mary! I missed the reply. My bad.

The Foos were awesome, Al. They played for 3 hours and just dominated. I've seen a shitload of concerts and this was unquestionably the best one ever. They played almost everything I wanted to hear. Plus, their jams in the middle of songs were awesome. These guys are just incredible musicians through and through.

The last time I had seen the Foo Fighters was in 1998. It was in the gym at William Patterson college in NJ. There were about 2000 people there. This was almost 20000. Fucking incredible.

Every band you've listed in that post has sucked, sucks, and will continue to suck into the foreseeable future.

I'm gonna have to put them on my "Must see" list. The latest CD rocks really hard AND they are one of the VERY few active bands appreciated by both me & my daughter.

They played 8 of 11 from the new album, skipping "Miss the Misery", "Back and Forth", and "A Matter of Time". They did a lot of jamming which unfortunately came at the cost of more songs, but I can't really complain. Dave Grohl is an incredible frontman.

They don't have any US dates on their website right now, but I'm sure it will happen next year. They're road warriors. Make sure you get there. You won't regret it.
