Oh, Alien Menace is really cool...it's very Space Hulk. I think there's actually a print version of the game too.
I'm just playing Infinity Blade II...I don't know why levelling up those weapons is so damn addictive.

Tried out Blood & Glory, the freemium Infinity Blade-style cash-in from Glu Games. Are they one of the most contemptible companies making games for iOS? Yes, they are.

I am so tired of cutesy, cartoon graphics in iPhone games.

Also, what's with the porn star casting? I seriously looked to see if the game was designed by Flying Frog Productions.

It's a good system, but short missions and no replayability mean I'm not going to fork over for the two expansion sagas.billyz wrote: Crimson Steam Pirates is great!

I'll just stick with it on Xbox -- and, I don't care what Barney and his cadre of reviews say, that Sorcerer's Cave table isn't that great. Very repetitive. I got 2 Billion or so a few days ago (and finally that last achievement, which was the 2nd achievement) and think I am done with it -- unless one of my fellow F:AT contenders bests it.

Ascension update is out. It adds the Return of the Fallen expansion for $2.99 IAP. It's great, I've been playing it. New cards, new effects. More of a good thing.
Crimson Steam Pirates...I don't know, I thought it really sucked. It's almost just like Steambirds but with some minor details added and yes, the Flying Frog thing is really stupid. iAdmiral is a much better game in that mold, more wargamey and with some added depth. But it's not "cute" like Steam Pirates.

Crimson Steamer would be a great little game if it had online, turn-based play. Iadmiral keeps getting better with each update, although it is kicking my nether quarters and I never win. Another game that would great with online, turn-based play. When will developers realize that they're not selling games, they are selling an antidote to the gnawing sense of alienation that is the foundation of modern life? Hence the need for turn-based play.

I just picked up Loot & Scoot, VPG's first digital offering: http://itunes.apple.com/app/loot-and-scoot/id483972683?mt=8 I have no idea if it's any good (either the app or the game itself), but hopefully I'll have a chance to try it later today and find out.
I'm not buying Hex Empire yet (hopefully it'll go free at some point) but it looks like it might be a good Risk type game: http://itunes.apple.com/app/hex-empire/id454125259?mt=8

I enjoyed the two games of Loot & Scoot I played last night. I'd never played before, so it was all new to me. It seems like a clever little game with a good sense of humor.
I'm well-satisfied at $2.99, but I can see where there might be some complaints coming. It looks like ass on the iPad, frankly, despite being a universal app. The buttons are not responsive. There's no multiplayer, cheevos, or leaderboards (yet), although the game will track your own top 10 efforts.
I'd recommend it to any fan of the game, fan of VPG, or anyone looking for a new take on dungeon-delving. I hope it's a success, because I want more, more, more iOS goodness from VPG.

I just came out on the short side of a 69-68 game against a guy I don't like**, after leading the whole game and setting a quick tempo to cut off this guy's air supply. But, no, he guesses right on the fucking dick then bullshit Raven and gets the three worst victory points in the history of organized games. Fuck me jumping.
